Igniter apparatus for a smoking article, and associated method
Abstract
An igniter apparatus is provided, comprising a heat precursor source having a heat precursor; a heating arrangement configured to, on demand, receive the heat precursor from the heat precursor source and to emit heat associated with the heat precursor and capable of igniting an ignitable article; and a sensory precursor source having a sensory precursor substance, wherein the sensory precursor substance is configured to provide a perceptible sensory effect, and wherein the sensory precursor source is in communication with the heating arrangement and is configured to release the sensory precursor substance in association with the heat emitted by the heating arrangement. An associated method is also provided.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 44 . (canceled)
45 . An elongate smoking article having a first end and an opposed second end, the smoking article comprising:
a mouth end portion disposed at the second end; a tobacco substrate material arranged toward the first end; a heat conductive material extending into the tobacco substrate material and in a heat exchange relationship therewith; at least one filter section arranged at the mouth end portion and extending from the mouth end portion to the tobacco substrate material; and a perforated paper wrapping material engaged with and circumscribing the at least one filter section.
46 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , further comprising a plug section arranged adjacent to the tobacco substrate material and extending toward the first end.
47 . The smoking article according to claim 46 , wherein the plug section comprises a plurality of fibers.
48 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the perforated paper wrapping material comprises a plurality of perforations.
49 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the perforated paper wrapping material comprises a cellulose material.
50 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the tobacco substrate material comprises a sheet of tobacco material.
51 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the tobacco substrate material is between about 10 mm and about 22 mm in length.
52 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the at least one filter section comprises a cellulose acetate material.
53 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the smoking article defines a rod-like shape extending between the first end and the opposed second end.
54 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the at least one filter section comprises at least two filter sections in end-to-end alignment.
55 . The smoking article according to claim 45 , wherein the perforated paper wrapper material is engaged with and circumscribes the at least one filter section and the tobacco substrate material.Cited by (0)
