Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for diagnosis of delayed bone fracture healing, comprising determining the frequency of a subpopulation of CD8+ cells selected from a first group comprised of CD8+CD57+, CD8+CD28− and CD8+CD28−/CD57+, in a sample obtained from a subject. The present invention further relates to a system and a kit of parts for prediction and resulting options for preventing of delayed bone fracture healing.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A kit for diagnosis of delayed bone fracture healing, comprising:
at least two ligands comprising an antibody, or reactive fragment thereof, selected from the group consisting of an anti-CD8 antibody, an anti-CD4 antibody, an anti-CD11a antibody, an anti-CD57 antibody, an anti-CD28-antibody, and an anti-CD3 antibody.

2 . The kit of claim 1 , wherein the ligand comprises a fluorescent or enzymatic label.

3 . The kit of claim 1 , further comprising a fluorescently- or enzymatically-labelled antibody that recognizes the anti-CD8 antibody, anti-CD4 antibody, anti-CD11a antibody, anti-CD57 antibody, anti-CD28-antibody, and anti-CD3 antibody.

4 . The kit of claim 1 , wherein the antibody fragment is a Fab domain of the antibody, a scFv fragment of the antibody, or a fusion protein consisting of the variable regions of light and heavy chains of the antibody.

5 . The kit of claim 1 , further comprising an anti-IL-6 antibody.

6 . The kit of claim 6 , wherein the anti-IL-6 antibody comprises a fluorescent or enzymatic label.

7 . The kit of claim 1 , wherein the antibody is a monoclonal murine antibody.

8 . The kit of claim 2 , wherein the fluorescent label comprises a cyanine (cy) allophycocyanin (APC), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), or phycoerythrin (PE) label.

9 . The kit of claim 1 , comprising an anti-CD8 antibody, an anti-CD11a antibody, and an anti-CD57 antibody.

10 . The kit of claim 1 , comprising an anti-CD8 antibody, an anti-CD11a antibody, and an anti-CD28 antibody.

11 . The kit of claim 1 , comprising an anti-CD8 antibody, an anti-CD11a antibody, an anti-CD28 antibody, and an anti-CD57 antibody.

12 . The kit of claim 1 , comprising an anti-CD8 antibody, an anti-CD3 antibody, and an anti-CD4 antibody.

13 . The kit of claim 1 , comprising an anti-CD8 antibody, an anti-CD57 antibody, and an anti-CD28 antibody.

14 . The kit of claim 9 , further comprising an anti-CD3 antibody and an anti-CD4 antibody.

15 . The kit of claim 10 , further comprising an anti-CD3 antibody and an anti-CD4 antibody.

16 . The kit of claim 11 , further comprising an anti-CD3 antibody and an anti-CD4 antibody.
