Abstract

A campaign server disclosed herein includes a graphic user interface (GUI) and underlying campaign server functionality that together enable a user to build, execute and analyze the results of a campaign with increased ease and accuracy. The campaign server advantageously includes a segmentation engine which operates to dynamically update target segment population data. The campaign server GUI enables the user to construct the campaign content and to launch the campaign towards members of the dynamically updated target segment. The campaign server further operates to collect and present campaign results to the user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A campaign management system comprising:
a processing device; program code, stored in non-volatile storage and operable when executed upon by the processing device to provide a user interface configured to: access a graphic user interface of a campaign sever; identify, at the graphic user interface, a target segment population for the customized campaign; receive a list of members of the target segment population from a campaign server; select parameters of the customized campaign; based on the selected parameters, receive campaign correspondence; and launch the customized campaign, including receive a second list of members of the target segment population that captures changes to the target segment population and represents current members of a dynamic target segment, and forward the campaign correspondence to the current members of the dynamic target segment population.

2 . The campaign management system of claim 1 , wherein the program code is further configured to periodically and automatically execute a script on a dynamic data store to capture changes to members of the dynamic target segment.

3 . The campaign management system of claim 2 , wherein the program code is further configured to:
periodically store, in a worker table, members of the dynamic target segment; periodically store, in a child table, a subset of the worker table including members of the dynamic target segment selected in response to rules related to target attributes; store, in an audit table, for each rule, a count of members included in the worker table and omitted from the child table as a result of application of each rule to the worker table.

4 . The campaign management system of claim 1 , wherein the program code is configured to tailor the target segment population by excluding members.

5 . The campaign management system of claim 4 , wherein the program code is configured to generate a campaign in response to user instructions specifying at least one of a type, duration and frequency of the campaign.

6 . The campaign management system of claim 1 , wherein identifying the target segment population comprises enabling the user to select the target segment of the population for delivery of the campaign.

7 . The campaign management system of claim 6 , wherein target segments available for selection by the user are limited according to access privileges of the user.

8 . The campaign management system of claim 1 , wherein launching the customized campaign comprises forwarding the customized campaign for approval.

9 . The campaign management system of claim 1 , wherein the campaign correspondence is selected from a list of pre-existing correspondence templates.

10 . The campaign management server of claim 1 , wherein the rules received from the user are received in a human-readable JSON text objects and the program code translates the rules into SQL database queries.

         11 . A method of generating a customized campaign by a user includes the steps of: accessing a graphic user interface of a campaign sever;
identifying, at the graphic user interface, a target segment population for the customized campaign; receiving a list of members of the target segment population from a campaign server; selecting parameters of the customized campaign; based on the selected parameters, receiving campaign correspondence; and launching the customized campaign, including receiving a second list of members of the target segment population that captures changes to the target segment population and represents current members of a dynamic target segment, and forwarding the campaign correspondence to the current members of the dynamic target segment population.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising periodically and automatically executing a script on a dynamic data store to capture changes to members of the dynamic target segment.

13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
periodically storing, in a worker table, members of the dynamic target segment; periodically storing, in a child table, a subset of the worker table including members of the dynamic target segment selected in response to rules related to target attributes; storing, in an audit table, for each rule, a count of members included in the worker table and omitted from the child table as a result of application of each rule to the worker table.

14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein identifying the target segment population comprises tailoring the target segment population by excluding members.

15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein identifying the target segment population comprises enabling the user to select the target segment of the population for delivery of the campaign.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein target segments available for selection by the user are limited according to access privileges of the user.

17 . The method of claim 11 , wherein selecting the parameters of the customized campaign comprises identifying one of a date, frequency or duration of the campaign.

18 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the campaign correspondence is selected from a list of pre-existing correspondence templates.

19 . The method of claim 11 , wherein launching the customized campaign comprises forwarding the customized campaign for approval.

20 . The method of claim 11 , wherein forwarding the campaign correspondence to the current members comprises automatically generating campaign correspondence in response to user instructions and a set of one or more predetermined templates.
