Stacked herbicide tolerance event 8264.44.06.1, related transgenic soybean lines, and detection thereof
Abstract
This invention relates in part to soybean event pDAB8264.44.06.1 and includes a novel expression cassettes and transgenic inserts comprising multiple traits conferring resistance to glyphosate, aryloxyalkanoate, and glufosinate herbicides. This invention also relates in part to methods of controlling resistant weeds, plant breeding and herbicide tolerant plants. In some embodiments, the event sequence can be “stacked” with other traits, including, for example, other herbicide tolerance gene(s) and/or insect-inhibitory proteins. This invention further relates in part to endpoint TaqMan PCR assays for the detection of Event pDAB8264.44.06.1 in soybeans and related plant material. Some embodiments can perform high throughput zygosity analysis of plant material and other embodiments can be used to uniquely identify the zygosity of and breed soybean lines comprising the event of the subject invention. Kits and conditions useful in conducting these assays are also provided.

. A method of protecting a soybean plant from weeds, the soybean plant comprising a genome comprising Event pDAB8264.44.06.1 as present in representative seeds deposited with American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) under Accession No. PTA-11336, the method comprising applying a herbicide selected from the group consisting of a phenoxyacetic acid herbicide, a glyphosate herbicide, and a glufosinate herbicide to a field, the field comprising the weeds and the soybean plant comprising the genome comprising Event pDAB8264.44.06.1.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the herbicide is a phenoxyacetic acid herbicide.
. The method of claim 71 , wherein the phenoxyacetic acid herbicide is 2,4-D.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the method comprises applying at least two of the herbicides simultaneously.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the method comprises applying at least two of the herbicides sequentially.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the phenoxyacetic acid herbicide is selected from the group consisting of 2,4-D and 2,4-DB.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the herbicide is applied over the top of the plant.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the herbicide is a glyphosate herbicide.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the herbicide is a glufosinate herbicide.
. A method of protecting a soybean plant from injury, the soybean plant comprising a genome comprising Event pDAB8264.44.06.1 as present in representative seeds deposited with American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) under Accession No. PTA-11336, the method comprising applying a herbicide selected from the group consisting of a phenoxyacetic acid herbicide, a glyphosate herbicide, and a glufosinate herbicide to a field, the field comprising the soybean plant comprising the genome comprising Event pDAB8264.44.06.1 which protects the plant from injury by the herbicide.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the herbicide is a phenoxyacetic acid herbicide.
. The method of claim 80 , wherein the phenoxyacetic acid herbicide is 2,4-D.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the method comprises applying at least two of the herbicides simultaneously.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the method comprises applying at least two of the herbicides sequentially.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the phenoxyacetic acid herbicide is selected from the group consisting of 2,4-D and 2,4-DB.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the herbicide is applied over the top of the plant.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the herbicide is a glyphosate herbicide.
. The method of claim 79 , wherein the herbicide is a glufosinate herbicide.
. A method of protecting a soybean plant from weeds in a field, the method comprising applying a herbicide selected from the group consisting of a phenoxyacetic acid herbicide, a glyphosate herbicide, and a glufosinate herbicide to the field, and planting a soybean seed in the field within 14 days of applying the herbicide wherein the soybean seed comprises a genome comprising Event pDAB8264.44.06.1 as present in representative seeds deposited with American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) under Accession No. PTA-11336, and wherein the soybean plant is produced from the soybean seed.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
