Abstract
Introduced are methods and systems for an adjustable bed device configured to: gather biological signals associated with multiple users, such as heart rate, respiration rate, or temperature; analyze the gathered human biological signals; and heat or cool a bed based on the analysis.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system comprising:
(a) a bed device comprising:
a plurality of sensors for detecting a plurality of different signal types associated with the user of the bed device, comprising (i) a first sensor configured to detect a first different signal type of the plurality of different signal types and (ii) a second sensor configured to detect a second different signal type of the plurality of different signal types, wherein each of the plurality of different signal types is selected from the group consisting of a motion, a temperature, a heart signal, and a breathing signal; and
a temperature control device operatively coupled to the bed device, wherein the temperature control device is configured to change a temperature of a zone of the bed device; and
(b) a processor operatively coupled to the sensor and the temperature control device, wherein the controller is programmed to direct the temperature control device to change the temperature of the zone of the bed device based on the plurality of different signal types associated with the user.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is programmed to (i) determine that the user is on the zone of the bed device based on the plurality of different signal types associated with the user and (ii) direct the temperature control device to change the temperature of the zone based on the determination in (i).
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is programmed to determine when to direct the temperature control device to change the temperature of the zone based on the plurality of different signal types associated with the user.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first sensor and the second sensor are different types of sensors.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the first sensor and the second sensor are positioned at different locations in the bed device.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first sensor or the second sensor comprises a temperature sensor or a piezo sensor.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the different signal type of the first sensor or the second sensor comprises temperature.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the different signal type of the first sensor or second the sensor comprises movement.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the temperature control device is configured to control the temperature of the zone.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the temperature control device is operatively coupled to a plurality of zones of the bed device comprising the zone, wherein the temperature control device is configured to independently change a temperature of a zone of the plurality of zones.
11 . A method comprising:
(a) detecting a plurality of different signal types associated with a user of the bed device by using a plurality of sensors of the bed device, wherein the detecting comprises:
(i) detecting, by a first sensor of the plurality of sensors, a first different signal type of the plurality of different signal types; and
(ii) detecting, by a second sensor of the plurality of sensors, a second different signal type of the plurality of different signal types,
wherein each of the plurality of different signal types is selected from the group consisting of a motion, a temperature, a heart signal, and a breathing signal; and
(b) directing, by a processor operatively coupled to the sensor, a temperature control device to change a temperature of a zone of the bed device, based on the plurality of different signal types associated with the user detected in (a).
12 . The method of claim 11 , comprising (i) determining, by the processor, that the user is on the zone of the bed device based on the plurality of different signal types associated with the user and (ii) directing, by the processor, the temperature control device to change the temperature of the zone based on the determination in (i).
13 . The method of claim 11 , comprising determining, by the processor, when to direct the temperature control device to change the temperature of the zone based on the plurality of different signal types associated with the user.
14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first sensor and the second sensor are different types of sensors.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the first sensor and the second sensor are positioned at different locations in the bed device.
16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first sensor or the second sensor comprises a temperature sensor or a piezo sensor.
17 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the different signal type of the first sensor or the second sensor comprises temperature.
18 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the different signal type of the first sensor or second the sensor comprises movement.
19 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the temperature control device is configured to control the temperature of the zone.
20 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising detecting, by the processor, presence of a plurality of users on the bed device by the plurality of different signal types.Cited by (0)
