Abstract
A system and method for remote execution of applications at a cloud server for a connected vehicle infotainment system (CVIS). The method includes receiving a remote execution request for at least one application from a CVIS; executing the at least one application to output execution results; and causing rendering of the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other environment included in a vehicle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for remote execution of applications at a cloud server for a connected vehicle infotainment system (CVIS), comprising:
receiving a remote execution request for at least one application from a CVIS; executing the at least one application to output execution results; and causing rendering of the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other environment included in a vehicle.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one other computing environment includes at least one user device connected to the CVIS and an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) integrated in the CVIS.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein executing the at least one application further comprises:
executing a preferred application of the at least one application, wherein the preferred application is any one of: an updated version of the at least one application and a different application of the at least one application; and generating a notification based on execution of the preferred application.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the executing the at least one application further comprises:
emulating execution environment features of the CVIS.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the executing is based on at least a first policy defined by the CVIS.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the causing rendering of the execution results is based on a second policy defined with CVIS.
7 . The method of claim of 6 , wherein each of the first policy and second policy includes any one of: a navigation application access control policy, a usage-based insurance application access control policy, a parking payment application access control policy, a fueling payment application access control policy, and a driverless self-parking application access control policy.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein each of the first policy and the second policy are different for each of the at least one application.
9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
executing the at least one application based on user input in response to rendered execution results; and causing re-rendering of the execution results.
10 . A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon instructions for causing a processing circuitry to execute a process, the process comprising:
receiving a remote execution request for at least one application from a CVIS; executing the at least one application to output execution results; and causing rendering of the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other environment included in a vehicle.
11 . A system for remote execution of applications at a cloud server for a connected vehicle infotainment system (CVIS), comprising:
a processing circuitry; and a memory, the memory containing instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry, configure the system to: receive a remote execution request for at least one application from a CVIS; execute the at least one application to output execution results; and cause rendering of the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other environment included in a vehicle.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one other computing environment includes at least one user device connected to the CVIS and an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) integrated in the CVIS.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the system is further configured to:
execute a preferred application of the at least one application, wherein the preferred application is any one of: an updated version of the at least one application and a different application of the at least one application; and generate a notification based on execution of the preferred application.
14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the system is further configured to:
emulate execution environment features of the CVIS.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the execution of the at least one application is based on at least a first policy defined by the CVIS.
16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the causing rendering of the execution results is based on a second policy defined with CVIS.
17 . The system of claim of 16 , wherein each of the first policy and second policy includes any one of: a navigation application access control policy, a usage-based insurance application access control policy, a parking payment application access control policy, a fueling payment application access control policy, and a driverless self-parking application access control policy.
18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein each of the first policy and the second policy are different for each of the at least one application.
19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the system is further configured to:
execute the at least one application based on user input in response to the rendered execution results; and cause re-rendering of the execution results.Cited by (0)
