Call forwarding system and method for forwarding a call to a terminal through near-field wireless communication

Abstract

In a call forwarding system, a management apparatus of the call forwarding system determines service terminals capable of near field wireless communication within a reception range of near field wireless communication, generates a terminal list, and receives a call event message reporting the receipt of a call from a reference terminal. The management apparatus may transmit a call report message including the terminal list to the reference terminal and the service terminals. The management apparatus may forward the call initially received by the reference terminal to a terminal which transmitted a receipt request message by transmitting a call forwarding request message to the reference terminal. The management apparatus may transmit, to the reference terminal and the service terminals, a receipt report message reporting the call was forwarded. According to a change receipt message or upon non-receipt by an intended terminal, the call may be reforwarded to another terminal.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A mobile device comprising:
 a display;   a communication unit comprising one or more communication modules configured to:
 receive a call; and 
 connect with output devices capable of outputting the call through a wireless communication, 
   a processor configured to:
 control the display to display a list comprising information of more than one output devices being in connection with the mobile device through the wireless communication; 
 control the communication unit to forward the call to a first output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device; and 
   in response to a request to change an output device to which the call is forwarded, control the communication unit to change the output device to which the call is forwarded from the first output device to a second output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         2 . The mobile device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the processor is further configured to:   generate the request to change the output device to which the call is forwarded based on a user input to the mobile device when the call is forwarded to the first output device; and   in response to the request, control the communication unit to change the output device to which the call is forwarded from the first output device to the second output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         3 . The mobile device of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
 via the communication unit, receive a request message from the first output device or the second output device when the call is forwarded to the first output device;   generate the request to change the output device to which the call is forwarded based on the received request message; and   in response to the request, control the communication unit to change the output device to which the call is forwarded from the first output device to the second output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         4 . The mobile device of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
 control the display to display the list, in response to a user input, when the communication unit receives the call.   
     
     
         5 . The mobile device of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
 control the display to display the list as distinguishing the first output device, when the mobile device forwards the call to the first output device, and   control the display to display the list as distinguishing the second output device, when the mobile device forwards the call to the second output device.   
     
     
         6 . An output device comprising:
 a display;   a communication unit comprising one or more communication modules configured to:   receive, from a mobile device, information of one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device;   receive, from the mobile device, a forwarded call through a wireless communication,   a processor configured to:
 control the display to display a list comprising information of one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device through the wireless communication; 
 in response to a user input, generate a request message to forward a call to a device among one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device; and 
 via the communication unit, transmit the request message to the mobile device. 
   
     
     
         7 . The output device of  claim 6 , wherein the communication unit is further configured to:
 receive, from the mobile device, information on a call outputting device to which a call is currently forwarded from the mobile device.   
     
     
         8 . The output device of  claim 6 ,
 wherein the processor is further configured to:
 generate a request message to forward the call to the output device; 
 via the communication unit, transmit the request message to the mobile device; and 
 receive, from the mobile device, the forwarded call through the wireless communication via the communication unit. 
   
     
     
         9 . The output device of  claim 7 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
 control the display to display the list as distinguishing the call outputting device among the one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         10 . A method of operating a mobile device, the method comprising:
 receiving a call;   displaying a list comprising information of more than one output devices being in connection with the mobile device through a wireless communication;   forwarding the call to a first output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device; and   in response to a request to change an output device to which the call is forwarded, changing the output device to which the call is forwarded from the first output device to a second output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 generating the request to change the output device to which the call is forwarded based on a user input to the mobile device when the call is forwarded to the first output device; and   in response to the request, changing the output device to which the call is forwarded from the first output device to the second output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 receiving a request message from the first output device or the second output device when the call is forwarded to the first output device;   generating the request to change the output device to which the call is forwarded based on the received request message; and   in response to the request, changing the output device to which the call is forwarded from the first output device to the second output device among the output devices being in connection with the mobile device.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 displaying the list, in response to a user input, when the mobile device receives the call.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 displaying the list as distinguishing the first output device, when the mobile device forwards the call to the first output device; and   displaying the list as distinguishing the second output device, when the mobile device forwards the call to the second output device.   
     
     
         15 . A method of operating an output device, the method comprising:
 receiving, from a mobile device, information of one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device through a wireless communication;   displaying a list comprising information of one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device through the wireless communication;   in response to a user input, generating a request message to forward a call to a device among one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device; and   transmitting the request message to the mobile device.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 receiving, from the mobile device, information on a call outputting device to which a call is currently forwarded from the mobile device.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 generating a request message to forward the call to the output device;   transmitting the request message to the mobile device; and   receiving, from the mobile device, a forwarded call through the wireless communication.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising:
 displaying the list as distinguishing the call outputting device among the one or more output devices being in connection with the mobile device.
