Abstract
The technologies described herein are generally directed to modeling radio wave propagation in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include, facilitating, by a first device, receiving a first communication directed to a second device from a third device associated with a first telephone number. The method can further include determining, by the first device, that the first communication comprises a reference to a second telephone number different from the first telephone number, resulting in a number discrepancy. Further, based on the number discrepancy and an analysis of the first communication, the method can further include preventing, by the first device, communication of the first communication to the third device.

facilitating, by a first device comprising a processor, receiving a communication, directed to a second device from a third device associated with a first telephone number; determining, by the first device, that the communication comprises a reference to a second telephone number different from the first telephone number, resulting in a number discrepancy; and based on the number discrepancy and an analysis of the communication, facilitating, by the first device, delivery of the communication to the third device.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the analysis comprises identifying the number discrepancy as an authorized number discrepancy indicative that the first telephone number is authorized.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the analysis comprises identifying an indication in the communication that authenticates the communication as comprising the authorized number discrepancy.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein identifying the number discrepancy as the authorized number discrepancy is based on an identifying characteristic of the third device.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the identifying characteristic comprises an identity of a controller of the third device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifying characteristic comprises a characteristic of a previous use of the third device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the analysis comprises analyzing an operation performed by the third device.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the analysis of the communication comprises identifying an indication in the communication that indicates that the number discrepancy is authorized, and wherein the delivery of the communication to the third device is based on the number discrepancy being authorized.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the indication was received from the third device and was generated as a result of analyzing the communication by the third device.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second telephone number is to be processed by a caller identification function at the second device.
11 . A first device, comprising:
a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
sending a communication for a second device to a third device, wherein the communication comprises a first phone number for display at the second device that is different from a second phone number associated with the first device, resulting in a number discrepancy; and
receiving an indication that the communication was sent to the second device, wherein the indication was generated based on the number discrepancy and an analysis performed by the third device.
12 . The first device of claim 11 , wherein the analysis comprises identifying the number discrepancy as an authorized number discrepancy.
13 . The first device of claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise:
identifying an identifying characteristic of the second device; and sending the identifying characteristic to the third device, wherein the identifying the number discrepancy as the authorized number discrepancy is based on the identifying characteristic of the second device.
14 . The first device of claim 13 , wherein the identifying characteristic comprises an identity of a controller of the second device.
15 . The first device of claim 11 , wherein the analysis comprises the analysis of an operation of the second device.
16 . The first device of claim 11 , wherein the first phone number is to be displayed at the second device according to a caller identification process to be performed by the second device.
17 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a first device, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
receiving a communication for a second device from a third device associated with a first telephone number; determining that the communication comprises a reference to a second telephone number different from the first telephone number, resulting in a number discrepancy; and based on the number discrepancy and an analysis of the communication:
determining that the number discrepancy is authorized, and
enabling delivery of the communication to the third device.
18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the determining that the number discrepancy is authorized is based on an identifying characteristic of the third device.
19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the identifying characteristic comprises a characteristic of a previous use of the third device.
