Joint sparing weighted garment

Abstract

A joint-sparing weighted garment for effective weight loading and distribution of a user that mimics the anatomical distribution of muscle mass while providing support to the major joints through weight-avoidance areas. Additionally, strategic weight-avoidance zones are reinforced to provide compression to the joints in a circumferential manner lessening the stress and strain on major joints, tendons, and ligaments.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A weighted garment, comprising:
 at least one weight zone; and   at least one weight-avoidance zone,   wherein the weight zone comprises a weight distribution that mimics a natural muscle weight distribution of a human.   
     
     
         2 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the weighted garment is a lower body weighted garment. 
     
     
         3 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight zone is a an upper leg zone. 
     
     
         4 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight zone is a lower leg zone. 
     
     
         5 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight-avoidance zone is an upper leg weight-avoidance zone. 
     
     
         6 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight-avoidance zone is a lower leg weight-avoidance zone. 
     
     
         7 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight-avoidance zone further comprises:
 a joint reinforcing structure.   
     
     
         8 . The weighted garment of  claim 7 , wherein the joint reinforcing structure further comprises:
 a compressive fabric.   
     
     
         9 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight zone further comprises:
 a removable weight.   
     
     
         10 . The weighted garment of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one weight zone further comprises:
 a modifiable weight.
