Modularized toy building block assembly

Abstract

A modularized toy building block assembly includes boards, connection plates, and studs. Each board includes an insertion space and fastener holes. Each connection plates has first and second insertion portions, and through holes formed through the first and second insertion portions. The first and second insertion portions of each connection plate are respectively and removably inserted in the insertion spaces of two adjacent boards. Each stud extends through one through hole and two fastener holes which are aligned to secure one of the boards to one of the connection plates.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A modularized toy building block assembly, comprising:
 a plurality of boards each including two face plates and at least one spacer having two opposite sides disposed between and fixed to said face plates, said face plates and said at least one spacer cooperatively defining an insertion space that is formed between said face plates outside of said spacer and that has an opening formed between boundary edges of said face plates, each of said face plates having a plurality of fastener holes communicating with said insertion space;   a connection unit including a plurality of connection plates each removably connecting two adjacent ones of said boards, each of said connection plates having a first insertion portion, a second insertion portion, and a plurality of spaced-apart through holes formed through said first and second insertion portions, said first and second insertion portions being respectively and removably inserted in said insertion spaces of said two adjacent ones of said boards in a manner that each of said through holes is aligned and communicated with two of said fastener holes respectively formed through said face plates of each of said two adjacent ones of said boards; and   a fastening unit including a plurality of studs each extending into one of said through holes and two of said fastener holes aligned with said one of said through holes to secure one of said boards to one of said connection plates.   
     
     
         2 . The modularized toy building block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said at least one spacer includes a plurality of spacers spaced apart from each other. 
     
     
         3 . The modularized toy building block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said insertion space loops around said at least one spacer. 
     
     
         4 . The modularized toy building block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said face plates of at least one of said boards have different lengths so that one of said boundary edges of said face plates indents from the other one of said boundary edge of said face plates at said opening of said insertion space. 
     
     
         5 . The modularized toy building block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein:
 each of said face plates has a central line; and   the positions of said fastener holes of each of said face plates are symmetric with respect to the central line.   
     
     
         6 . The modularized toy building block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein:
 each of said face plates has a central point; and   the positions of said fastener holes of each of said face plates are symmetric with respect to the central point.   
     
     
         7 . The modularized toy building block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said first and second insertion portions of each of said connection plates are inclined to each other by an angle therebetween, said angle being selected from 45, 60, 90, 105, 120, 135, 150, and 180 degrees. 
     
     
         8 . The modularized building toy block assembly as claimed in  claim 1 , further comprising two color plates respectively and removably connected to said face plates opposite to said at least one spacer, each of said color plates having a plurality of connection holes respectively aligned and communicating with said fastener holes of one of said face plates.
