Abstract
A method for replacing a lost security parameter includes receiving, from a computing device of an exchange item marketplace network, a new security parameter adoption request for a replacement security parameter to replace the lost security parameter associated with one or more exchange items of the exchange item marketplace network. The method further includes determining a group of merchant servers of a plurality of merchant servers of the exchange item marketplace network to facilitate verification of the replacement security parameter. For each merchant server, the method further includes sending a corresponding portion of the replacement security parameter to a corresponding merchant server and receiving security verification information from at least some of the group of merchant servers. When receiving a threshold number of favorable verification results from the at least some of the group of merchant servers, the method further includes facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter.

1 . A method for replacing a lost security parameter, the method comprising:
receiving, from an exchange item issuing server of an exchange item marketplace network, a new security parameter adoption request for a replacement security parameter to replace the lost security parameter that is associated with one or more exchange items of the exchange item marketplace network; determining a group of merchant servers of a plurality of merchant servers of the exchange item marketplace network to facilitate verification of the replacement security parameter; for each merchant server of the group of merchant servers, sending a corresponding portion of the replacement security parameter; receiving security verification information from at least some of the group of merchant servers; and when receiving a threshold number of favorable verification results from the at least some of the group of merchant servers, facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter with the replacement security parameter.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the new security parameter adoption request comprises one or more of:
a request type operation code (opcode); an identifier of the exchange item issuing server; an alternate signature signed utilizing an alternate private key associated with a known validated public key of the exchange item issuing server; a new public key that is signed; and a unique security verification code for each merchant server.
3 . The method of claim 1 further comprises:
detecting an anomaly with one or more security parameters, wherein the one or more security parameters includes the lost security parameter.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more exchange items are associated with the lost security parameter via one or more of:
a contract blockchain; and a transactions blockchain.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the group of merchant servers comprises one or more of:
interpreting an agreement; accessing a list; and interpreting an exchange item rule associated with an exchange item affiliated with a detected anomaly with one or more security parameters, wherein the one or more security parameters includes the lost security parameter.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the sending the corresponding portion of the replacement security parameter comprises:
sending a unique security verification code corresponding to each merchant server of the group of merchant servers; and sending a new public key that is paired with the replacement security parameter to each merchant server of the group of merchant servers.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the receiving the security verification information from the at least some of the group of merchant servers comprises:
receiving an indication of whether a verification result of the unique security verification code is favorable.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter comprises:
exchanging set up verification with an exchange item trusted module of the exchange item marketplace network, wherein the exchange item trusted module exchanges trust information with the exchange item issuing server with regards to the replacement security parameter.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter comprises:
modifying exchange item information associated with the one or more exchange items, wherein the exchange item information includes the replacement security parameter.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter comprises:
acquiring updated blocks of a blockchain associated with an exchange item of the one or more exchange items, wherein the updated blocks are signed with a private key associated with the replacement security parameter; and storing the updated blockchain in a marketplace database of the exchange item marketplace network.
11 . A marketplace server comprising:
memory; an interface; and a processing module operably coupled to the memory and the interface, wherein the processing module is operable to: receive, from an exchange item issuing server of an exchange item marketplace network, a new security parameter adoption request for a replacement security parameter to replace the lost security parameter that is associated with one or more exchange items of the exchange item marketplace network; determine a group of merchant servers of a plurality of merchant servers of the exchange item marketplace network to facilitate verification of the replacement security parameter; for each merchant server of the group of merchant servers, send, via the interface, a corresponding portion of the replacement security parameter; receive, via the interface, security verification information from at least some of the group of merchant servers; and when receiving a threshold number of favorable verification results from the at least some of the group of merchant servers, facilitate completion of adoption of the replacement security parameter to replace the lost security parameter.
12 . The marketplace server of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to determine the new security parameter adoption request includes one or more of:
a request type operation code (opcode); an identifier of the exchange item issuing server; an alternate signature signed utilizing an alternate private key associated with a known validated public key of the exchange item issuing server; a new public key that is signed; and a unique security verification code for each merchant server.
13 . The marketplace server of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to:
detecting an anomaly with one or more security parameters, wherein the one or more security parameters includes the lost security parameter.
14 . The marketplace server of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to determine the one or more exchange items are associated with the lost security parameter via one or more of:
a contract blockchain; and a transactions blockchain.
15 . The marketplace of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to determine the group of merchant servers by one or more of:
interpreting an agreement; accessing a list; and interpreting an exchange item rule associated with an exchange item affiliated with a detected anomaly with one or more security parameters, wherein the one or more security parameters includes the lost security parameter.
16 . The marketplace of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to perform the sending the corresponding portion of the replacement security parameter by:
sending, via the interface, a unique security verification code corresponding to each merchant server of the group of merchant servers; and sending, via the interface, a new public key that is paired with the replacement security parameter each merchant server of the group of merchant servers.
17 . The marketplace of claim 16 , wherein the processing module is further operable to receive the security verification information from the at least some of the group of merchant servers by:
receiving, via the interface, an indication of whether a verification result of the unique security verification code is favorable.
18 . The marketplace of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to perform the facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter by:
exchanging set up verification with an exchange item trusted module of the exchange item marketplace network, wherein the exchange item trusted module exchanges trust information with the exchange item issuing server with regards to the replacement security parameter.
19 . The marketplace of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to perform the facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter by:
modifying exchange item information associated with the one or more exchange items, wherein the exchange item information includes the replacement security parameter.
20 . The marketplace of claim 11 , wherein the processing module is further operable to perform the facilitating completion of replacing the lost security parameter by:
