Product-based trees for online store
Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a system and method to allow sellers of products to establish individual products in a multilevel marketing (MLM) commission system, where the product is offered and sold to a first purchaser - who then actively by requesting a code, or passively, through the purchase of the product, becomes a user of the commission system. This user is provided a code such that the code may be passed onto followers of the registered user, either directly or via a referral hyperlink. The registered user will be allowed to advertise the product to a second purchaser and the second purchaser will be allowed to purchase the product and provide advertisements to other purchasers. Commissions paid to respective downline purchasers for a single product may be limited by a preset number of defined levels. After a product is purchased, commissions are paid out to each respective purchaser according to the defined commission levels. Purchase of the product may be facilitated by an online store controlled by the system. Products may be automatically added to the online store. The referral hyperlink may be directed to the online store or to the default landing page provided by the third party vendor of the product.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for providing structured online store webpages, the method comprising:
storing information in memory regarding one or more tree structures of users, each user associated with a corresponding unique user code; polling for online information regarding a new product, wherein the new product is assigned a product identification (ID) upon being added to a database; generating an online store webpage on a website associated with the new product based on the polled information, wherein the website is associated with a hyperlink; receiving a request from a web browser of a user device of a user, wherein the request includes the hyperlink that has been embedded with a user code; directing the web browser to a landing page associated with the online store based on the embedded user code; and adding the user of the user device to one of the tree structures identified as being associated with the embedded user code.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing the hyperlink associated with the new product in the memory, wherein the hyperlink is stored in association with product information and a decay rate.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein polling for online information comprises receiving product data associated with a plurality of new products from a third-party network computer, wherein the hyperlink is among a plurality of hyperlinks generated for webpages associated with the plurality of new products; and further comprising transmitting the hyperlink to the third-party network computer.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising populating the online store webpage with product information associated with the new product, the stored information including one or more images representative of the new product.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising storing the product information in the database accessible to the online store webpage, the database comprising further product information regarding a plurality of other products selectable to further populate the online store webpage.
6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising determining a selection from the plurality of other products based on a set of metrics indicating that one or more current products are to be removed from the online store webpage.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the polling is scheduled to occur periodically and identifies one or more online interactions with the webpage for the new product.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining one or more dynamic incentives associated with an online interaction with the webpage for the new product via the hyperlink based on the tree structure associated with the embedded user code.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
identifying the online interaction by the user device with the webpage for new product; extracting the product ID of the new product from the webpage based on the identified online interaction; and retrieving the product ID from the database based on a stored association with the hyperlink, wherein determining the dynamic incentives based on stored information from the database corresponding to the product ID.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
identifying the user code embedded in the hyperlink associated with the online interaction; automatically inputting the user code into the online store webpage to initiate a second online interaction with the user device; associating the user code with a second new product associated with the second online interaction; and applying the determined dynamic incentives to the second online interaction.
11 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having embodied thereon a program executable by a processor to perform a method for providing structured online store webpages, the method comprising:
storing information in memory regarding one or more tree structures of users, each user associated with a corresponding unique user code; polling for online information regarding a new product, wherein the new product is assigned a product identification (ID) upon being added to a database; generating an online store webpage on a website associated with the new product based on the polled information, wherein the website is associated with a hyperlink; receiving a request from a web browser of a user device of a user, wherein the request includes the hyperlink that has been embedded with a user code; directing the web browser to a landing page associated with the online store based on the embedded user code; and adding the user of the user device to one of the tree structures identified as being associated with the embedded user code.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , further comprising instructions executable to store the hyperlink associated with the new product in the memory, wherein the hyperlink is stored in association with product information and a decay rate.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein polling for online information comprises receiving product data associated with a plurality of new products from a third-party network computer, wherein the hyperlink is among a plurality of hyperlinks generated for webpages associated with the plurality of new products; and further comprising instructions executable to transmit the hyperlink to the third-party network computer.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , further comprising instructions executable to populate the online store webpage with product information associated with the new product, the stored information including one or more images representative of the new product.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , further comprising instructions executable to store the product information in the database accessible to the online store webpage, the database comprising further product information regarding a plurality of other products selectable to further populate the online store webpage.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions executable to determine a selection from the plurality of other products based on a set of metrics indicating that one or more current products are to be removed from the online store webpage..
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the polling is scheduled to occur periodically and identifies one or more online interactions with the webpage for the new product.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , further comprising instructions executable to determine one or more dynamic incentives associated with an online interaction with the webpage for the new product via the hyperlink based on the tree structure associated with the embedded user code.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , further comprising instructions executable to:
identify the online interaction by the user device with the webpage for new product; extract the product ID of the new product from the webpage based on the identified online interaction; and retrieve the product ID from the database based on a stored association with the hyperlink, wherein determining the dynamic incentives based on stored information from the database corresponding to the product ID.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , further comprising instructions executable to:
identify the user code embedded in the hyperlink associated with the online interaction; automatically input the user code into the online store webpage to initiate a second online interaction with the user device; associate the user code with a second new product associated with the second online interaction; and apply the determined dynamic incentives to the second online interaction.Cited by (0)
