Abstract
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a first network parameter associated with a first network device and obtaining a second network parameter associated with a second network device. Further embodiments include determining that the first network device is less congested than the second network device based on the first network parameter and the second network parameter resulting in a first determination. Additional embodiments include amplifying a first wireless signal based on the first determination and in response to receiving the first wireless signal from the first network device resulting in a first amplified wireless signal, and transmitting the first amplified wireless signal Other embodiments are disclosed.

1 . A first repeater device comprising:
a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising: receiving a first wireless signal from a first network device;
amplifying the first wireless signal based on a first network parameter associated with the first network device for a first time period resulting in a first amplified wireless signal;
transmitting the first amplified wireless signal to a communication device;
ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal based on the first network parameter for a second time period; and
providing an indication to a second repeater device to amplify a second wireless signal resulting in a second amplified wireless signal and to transmit the second amplified wireless signal to the communication device.
2 . The first repeater device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise determining the first network parameter for the first time period.
3 . The first repeater device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise determining the first network parameter for the second time period.
4 . The first repeater device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise determining that the communication device is associated with a geographic area.
5 . The first repeater device of claim 4 , wherein the operations comprise determining that the second repeater device is associated with the geographic area.
6 . The first repeater device of claim 5 , wherein the ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal comprises ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal based on the first network parameter for the second time period in response to determining that the second repeater device is associated with the geographic area.
7 . The first repeater device of claim 5 , wherein the providing of the indication to the second repeater device to amplify the second wireless signal comprises providing the indication to the second repeater device to amplify the second wireless signal resulting in the second amplified wireless signal and to transmit the second amplified wireless signal to the communication device in response to determining that the second repeater device is associated with the geographic area.
8 . The first repeater device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise obtaining a second network parameter for the second time period, wherein the second network parameter is associated with a second network device.
9 . The first repeater device of claim 8 , wherein the ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal comprises ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal based on the second network parameter.
10 . The first repeater device of claim 8 , wherein the providing of the indication to the second repeater device to amplify the second wireless signal comprises providing the indication to the second repeater device to amplify the second wireless signal resulting in the second amplified wireless signal and to transmit the second amplified wireless signal to the communication device is based on the second network parameter.
11 . The first repeater device of claim 8 , wherein the first network device comprises one of a base station of a millimeter wave (mmW) node, wherein the second network device comprises one of a base station of a mmW node.
12 . A non-transitory, machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a first repeater device including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
receiving a first wireless signal from a first network device;
amplifying the first wireless signal based on a first network parameter associated with the first network device for a first time period resulting in a first amplified wireless signal;
transmitting the first amplified wireless signal to a communication device;
determining that the communication device is associated with a geographic area resulting in a first determination; determining that a second repeater device is associated with the geographic area resulting in a second determination;
ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal based on the first network parameter for a second time period based on the first determination and the second determination; and
providing an indication to the second repeater device to amplify a second wireless signal resulting in a second amplified wireless signal and to transmit the second amplified wireless signal to the communication device based on the first determination and the second determination.
13 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the first network parameter comprises a key performance indicator (KPI).
14 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the operations comprise determining the first network parameter for the first time period.
15 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the operations comprise obtaining a second network parameter for the second time period, wherein the second network parameter is associated with a second network device.
16 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal comprises ceasing to amplify the first wireless signal based on the second network parameter.
17 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the providing of the indication to the second repeater device to amplify the second wireless signal comprises providing the indication to the second repeater device to amplify the second wireless signal resulting in the second amplified wireless signal and to transmit the second amplified wireless signal to the communication device is based on the second network parameter.
18 . The non-transitory, machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the first network device comprises one of a base station of a millimeter wave (mmW) node, wherein the second network device comprises one of a base station of a mmW node.
19 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by a processing system including a processor, a first wireless signal from a first network device;
amplifying, by the processing system, the first wireless signal based on a first network parameter associated with the first network device for a first time period resulting in a first amplified wireless signal;
transmitting, by the processing system, the first amplified wireless signal to a communication device;
determining, by the processing system, a second network parameter associated with a second network device for a second time period;
ceasing, by the processing system, to amplify the first wireless signal based on the second network parameter for the second time period; and
providing, by the processing system, an indication to a second repeater device to amplify a second wireless signal resulting in a second amplified wireless signal and to transmit the second amplified wireless signal to the communication device.
