Abstract
An automatic dishwashing cleaning composition having a new protease.

1 . An automatic dishwashing cleaning composition comprising a variant of a parent protease wherein the parent protease has at least 70% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 and:
a) the variant comprises an amino acid substitution at position X160Q and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: X039E; X099R; X126A; X127E; and X128G;
b) the variant comprises an amino acid substitution at position X179Q; and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: X099R; X126A; X127E; and X128G;
or
c) the variant comprises an amino acid substitution at position X253P; and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: X039E X099R; X126A; X127E; and X128G; and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: X074D; X211L; X212S and X256E; or
d) the variant has one of the following substitutions:

2 . An automatic dishwashing cleaning composition according to claim 1 wherein
a) the variant comprises an amino acid substitution at position G160Q and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: S039E; S099R; S126A; D127E; and F128G; or
b) the variant comprises an amino acid substitution at position R179Q; and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: S099R; S126A; D127E; and F128G; or
c) the variant comprises an amino acid substitution at position N253P; and
at least one amino acid substitution at one position selected from: S039E; S099R; S126A; D127E; and F128G; and
at least one amino acid substitutions at one position selected from: N074D; M211L; N212S and Q256E; or
d) the variant only has one of the following substitutions:
S039E-S099R-S126A-D127E-F128G-M211L-N242D.

5 . A composition according to claim 1 wherein the variant has at least about 90% identity to the protease having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1.
6 . A composition according to claim 1 wherein the composition is phosphate free.
7 . A composition according to claim 1 wherein the composition comprises from about 10% to about 50% by weight of the composition of an organic complexing agent system.
8 . A composition according to claim 1 comprising more than about 10% by weight of the composition of bleach.
9 . A composition according to claim 1 comprising a bleach activator and/or a bleach catalyst.
10 . A composition according to claim 1 comprising a bleach catalyst wherein the bleach catalyst comprises manganese bleach catalyst.
11 . A composition according to claim 1 wherein the complexing agent system comprises a complexing agent selected from the group consisting of citric acid, methyl glycine diacetic acid, glutamic-N,N-diacetic acid, iminodisuccinic acid, carboxy methyl inulin, their salts, and mixtures thereof, preferably a salt of methyl glycine diacetic acid.
12 . A composition according to claim 1 wherein the complexing agent system comprises citric acid and methyl glycine diacetic acid preferably in a weight ratio of from about 0.5:1 to about 2:1.
13 . A composition according to claim 1 wherein the composition comprises a dispersant polymer, preferably a carboxylated/sulfonated polymer.
14 . A composition according to claim 1 comprising:
i) from about 10% to about 50% by weight of the composition of an organic complexing agent system, comprising methyl glycine diacetic acid.
ii) a bleaching system comprising at least 10% by weight of the composition of percarbonate and optionally a bleach activator and/or a bleach catalyst;
iii) a non-ionic surfactant;
iv) a dispersant polymer; and
v) an amylase.
15 . A method of washing soiled dishware in a dishwasher in soft water comprising the steps of:
