Abstract

A system for signaling coordinated workers in a common goal through intelligent icons transferred across networks to computer screens. The system can comprise one or more electronic data processors. The system can also include a module configured to execute on the more or more electronic data processors, where the module can be configured to display a plurality of intelligent icons, each containing authorizing information that is retained in a file associated with a authorizing entity on a computer screen. The intelligent icons can be potentially loaned to authorized individuals on a list and used to authenticate users of the system with biometric, image, machine readable codes stored surreptitiously within the intelligent icon. Also, the intelligent icon can be used for friend-foe identification in battlefield and homeland security/border control scenarios.

         21 . A system for verifying an individual for treatment, the system comprising:
 one or more processors; an optical scanner configured to scan intelligent icons; and a computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions for causing at least one of the one or more processors to:
 obtain a base image indicative of a medical condition associated with the individual;
 generate a machine readable code associated with an identity of the individual;
 embed the machine readable code in the base image to generate an intelligent icon;
 receive an optical representation of the intelligent icon from the optical scanner;
 extract the machine readable code from the optical representation of the intelligent icon;
 analyze the machine readable code; and
 verify the identity of the individual based on the analyzing the machine readable code.

         22 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the machine readable code is generated in response to the individual scheduling the treatment.

         23 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 transfer the machine readable code to a smart device associated with the individual.

         24 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 embed data in the base image indicative of at least one of a location and a time at which the verifying occurred.

         25 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 verify, based on the analyzing the machine readable code, a medical action based on the medical condition associated with the individual.

         26 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the medical action for the individual includes at least one of a treatment, a medication, an infusion, an operation, and a medical test.

         27 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 verify, based on the identity of the individual, potential hazards of the medical action.

         28 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 access a medical record of the individual after verifying, based on the analyzing the machine readable code, the identity of the individual.

         29 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 receive health record data associated with the individual.

         30 . The system of claim 29 , wherein the instructions further cause at least one of the one or more processors to:
 encode at least a portion of the received health record data in a plurality of original pixels of the base image, wherein the intelligent icon includes a modified base image having a plurality of modified pixels, the plurality of modified pixels being configured to be displayed on a display device as a representation of the modified base image such that the representation of the modified base image displayed on the display device is distinguishable to a human eye as compared to the base image when displayed on the display device, and the visual difference between the modified base image and the base image being indicative of a treatment progress associated with the individual.

         31 . A computer-implemented method of verifying an individual for treatment, the method comprising:
 obtaining, by a processor, a base image indicative of a medical condition associated with the individual; generating, by the processor, a machine readable code associated with an identity of the individual; embedding, by the processor in the base image, the machine readable code to generate an intelligent icon; receiving, by an optical scanner, an optical representation of the intelligent icon; extracting, by the processor from the optical representation of the intelligent icon, the machine readable code; analyzing, by the processor, the machine readable code; and verifying, by the processor based on the analyzing the machine readable code, the identity of the individual.

         32 . The computer-implemented method of claim 31 , wherein generating the machine readable code occurs in response to the individual scheduling the treatment.

         33 . The computer-implemented method of claim 31 , further comprising transferring, by the processor, the machine readable code to a smart device associated with the individual.

         34 . The computer-implemented method of claim 31 , further comprising embedding, by the processor, data in the base image indicative of at least one of a location and a time at which the verifying occurred.

         35 . The computer-implemented method of claim 31 , further comprising verifying, by the processor based on the analyzing the machine readable code, a medical action based on the medical condition associated with the individual.

         36 . The computer-implemented method of claim 35 , wherein the medical action for the individual includes at least one of a treatment, a medication, an infusion, an operation, and a medical test.

         37 . The computer-implemented system of claim 35 , further comprising verifying, by the processor based on the identity of the individual, potential hazards of the medical action.

         38 . The computer-implemented method of claim 31 , further comprising accessing, by the processor, a medical record of the individual after verifying, based on the analyzing the machine readable code, the identity of the individual.

         39 . The computer-implemented method of claim 31 , further comprising receiving, by the processor, health record data associated with the individual.
