Abstract

Disclosed is a method for controlling a plurality of light-emitting devices. The method includes at least: inputting group information into a respective light-emitting device, the group information to be inputted corresponds to a seat in a venue, on which the respective light emitting device to be positioned; and selectively controlling illuminating or extinguishing of groups of light-emitting devices, in accordance with the group information, to present an image over the plurality of light-emitting devices positioned on seats in the venue of an event during a particular period of a group-performance presentation.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for directing a performance in a venue using light emission control of a plurality of light-emitting devices, the method comprising:
inputting group information into a respective light-emitting device, the group information to be inputted corresponds to information on a seat in the venue, on which the respective light emitting device to be positioned; and selectively controlling illuminating or extinguishing of groups of light-emitting devices, related to the group information, to present an image for directing the performance using the plurality of light-emitting devices positioned on seats in the venue during a predetermined period of the performance, wherein the image presents at least one scene that changes for each at least one section of the performance.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein one or more light-emitting devices are designated as the same group based on the group information, wherein the group information includes information for performing group controlling of the plurality of light-emitting devices, and wherein the one or more light-emitting devices of the same group emit the same color during the predetermined period of the performance.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inputting the group information is performed when the respective light-emitting device performs a process of entering the venue.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inputting the group information comprises:
reading ticket information of a user of the light-emitting device; identifying where the light-emitting device is configured to be positioned, based on the read ticket information; retrieving the group information that corresponds to the identified position of the light-emitting device; and inputting the retrieved group information into the light-emitting device.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the group information comprises
a first group identification to be assigned to the respective light emitting device during a first section of the performance, and a second group identification to be assigned to the respective light emitting device during a second section of the performance.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the first section and the second section correspond to a first scene and a second scene of the performance, respectively, and the first scene presented by light emitting devices to which the first group identification information is assigned is different from the second scene presented by light emitting devices to which the second group identification information is assigned.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inputting the group information comprises:
inputting the group information into the respective light-emitting device when the respective light-emitting device is approaching within a predetermined distance from a group information distribution device located in an entrance of the venue.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inputting the group information comprises:
inputting only group identification information into the respective light-emitting device, without inputting instructions to control illuminating or extinguishing of the respective light-emitting device during the predetermined period of the performance, when the respective light-emitting device performs the process of entering the venue; and after the event has started, wirelessly transmitting additional group information that includes the instructions, to the respective light-emitting device, in accordance with the group identification information.
