Abstract

An apparatus comprises a processing device configured to receive physiological monitoring data from wearable devices, to generate telemedicine data based on telemedicine interactions between a given user and telemedical support staff of a telemedicine network, and to calculate, for the given user, a predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of contracting and spreading a disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios based on the physiological monitoring data and the telemedicine data. The processing device is also configured to recommend a given telemedical treatment scenario for the given user based on the predicted outcomes and associated user-specific risks for the telemedical treatment scenarios, and to generate notifications for delivery to at least one of the given user and one or more other users based on the recommended telemedical treatment scenario, the notifications comprising information related to outbreak of and measures for treating and mitigating spread of the disease.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus comprising:
 at least one processing device comprising a processor coupled to a memory;   the at least one processing device being configured:
 to receive physiological monitoring data from a plurality of wearable devices associated with a plurality of users; 
 to generate telemedicine data based at least in part on one or more telemedicine interactions between a given one of the plurality of users and one or more telemedical support staff of a telemedicine network; 
 to calculate, for the given user, a predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of at least one of contracting and spreading a disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios based at least in part on the received physiological monitoring data and the generated telemedicine data; 
 to recommend a given one of the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios for the given user based at least in part on the predicted outcomes and associated user-specific risks for the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios; and 
 to generate one or more notifications for delivery to at least one of the given user and one or more other ones of the plurality of users based at least in part on the recommended telemedical treatment scenario, the one or more notifications comprising information related to outbreak of the disease and measures for at least one of treating the disease and mitigating spread of the disease.

The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein calculating the predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of at least one of contracting and spreading the disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios is based at least in part on monitoring vitals of the given user based on the received physiological monitoring data. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein an algorithm for monitoring the vitals of the given user is modified based at least in part on the generated telemedicine data. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein modifying the algorithm for monitoring the vitals of the given user based at least in part on the generated telemedicine data comprises adjusting one or more vital thresholds which trigger generation of a given one of the one or more notifications. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein calculating the predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of at least one of contracting and spreading the disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios is based at least in part on tracking a location of the given user based on location data received from at least a given one of the plurality of wearable devices associated with the given user. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 5 , wherein an algorithm for tracking the location of the given user is modified based at least in part on the generated telemedicine data. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 6 , wherein modifying the algorithm for tracking the location of the given user based at least in part on the generated telemedicine data comprises adjusting one or more thresholds which trigger generation of a given one of the one or more notifications responsive to detecting a presence of the given user in a geographic location associated with at least one location-related health alert.

The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein calculating the predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of at least one of contracting and spreading the disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios is based at least in part on automated contact tracing of the given user based on location data received from the plurality of wearable devices associated with the plurality of users. 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein an algorithm for automated contact tracing of the given user is modified based at least in part on the generated telemedicine data. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 9 , wherein modifying the algorithm for automated contact tracing of the given user based at least in part on the generated telemedicine data comprises adjusting one or more thresholds which trigger generation of a given one of the one or more notifications responsive to detecting colocation of the given user with one or more other users determined to be at risk of at least one of contracting and spreading the disease. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein generating the telemedicine data comprises:
 matching the received physiological monitoring data with at least one of one or more patients of the telemedicine network and one or more of the telemedical support staff of the telemedicine network associated with the matched one or more patients;   allowing at least one of a given one of the matched patients and a given one of the matched telemedical support staff to access a given portion of the received physiological monitoring data corresponding to the given patient and schedule at least a given one of the one or more telemedicine interactions at a given time; and   initiating the scheduled given telemedicine interaction at the given time.   
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein allowing said at least one of at least one of the given matched patient and the given matched telemedical support staff to schedule the given telemedicine interaction comprises restricting available times at which the given telemedicine interaction may be scheduled based at least in part on a severity of one or more symptoms of the disease experienced by the given matched patient as determined from the given portion of the received physiological monitoring data. 
     
     
         13 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein allowing said at least one of at least one of the given matched patient and the given matched telemedical support staff to schedule the given telemedicine interaction comprises restricting available times at which the given telemedicine interaction may be scheduled based at least in part on an amount of time required to collect sufficient physiological monitoring data from the given matched patient in order to diagnose contraction of the disease. 
     
     
         14 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein allowing said at least one of at least one of the given matched patient and the given matched telemedical support staff to schedule the given telemedicine interaction comprises prompting said at least one of at least one of the given matched patient and the given matched telemedical support staff to schedule the given telemedicine interaction responsive to the given portion of the physiological monitoring data indicating a designated threshold severity of at least one symptom of the disease. 
     
     
         15 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the received physiological monitoring data for the given user comprises quantitative data measured by one or more sensors of at least a given one of the plurality of wearable device associated with the given user that is annotated with qualitative data input by the given user. 
     
     
         16 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios are associated with at least one risk model that estimates risk of at least one of spreading and contracting the infectious diseases based on two or more different preventative measures taken by the given user. 
     
     
         17 . The apparatus of  claim 16 , wherein the two or more different preventative measures taken by the given user comprise: continuing as normal; continuing as normal while utilizing personal protective equipment; and observing one or more quarantine, social distancing or self-isolation measures. 
     
     
         18 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein calculating, for the given user, the predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of said at least one of contracting and spreading the disease for the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios is further based at least in part on a user profile of the given user, the user profile comprising information associated with an age, weight, height and one or more known diseases and disorders associated with the given user. 
     
     
         19 . A computer program product comprising a non-transitory processor-readable storage medium having stored therein executable program code which, when executed, causes at least one processing device:
 to receive physiological monitoring data from a plurality of wearable devices associated with a plurality of users;   to generate telemedicine data based at least in part on one or more telemedicine interactions between a given one of the plurality of users and one or more telemedical support staff of a telemedicine network;   to calculate, for the given user, a predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of at least one of contracting and spreading a disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios based at least in part on the received physiological monitoring data and the generated telemedicine data;   to recommend a given one of the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios for the given user based at least in part on the predicted outcomes and associated user-specific risks for the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios; and   to generate one or more notifications for delivery to at least one of the given user and one or more other ones of the plurality of users based at least in part on the recommended telemedical treatment scenario, the one or more notifications comprising information related to outbreak of the disease and measures for at least one of treating the disease and mitigating spread of the disease.   
     
     
         20 . A method comprising:
 receiving physiological monitoring data from a plurality of wearable devices associated with a plurality of users;   generating telemedicine data based at least in part on one or more telemedicine interactions between a given one of the plurality of users and one or more telemedical support staff of a telemedicine network;   calculating, for the given user, a predicted outcome and associated user-specific risk of at least one of contracting and spreading a disease for two or more telemedical treatment scenarios based at least in part on the received physiological monitoring data and the generated telemedicine data;   recommending a given one of the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios for the given user based at least in part on the predicted outcomes and associated user-specific risks for the two or more telemedical treatment scenarios; and   generating one or more notifications for delivery to at least one of the given user and one or more other ones of the plurality of users based at least in part on the recommended telemedical treatment scenario, the one or more notifications comprising information related to outbreak of the disease and measures for at least one of treating the disease and mitigating spread of the disease;   wherein the method is performed by at least one processing device comprising a processor coupled to a memory.
