Abstract
A ball bearing drawer slide bracket includes: a vertical panel with upper and lower edges; a nub extending from a first side of the vertical panel; a rear wall positioned generally parallel to and fixed relative to the vertical panel; and a generally C-shaped channel fixed to and extending forwardly from the rear wall.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A ball bearing drawer slide bracket, comprising:
a vertical panel with upper and lower edges; a nub extending from a first side of the vertical panel; a rear wall positioned generally parallel to and fixed relative to the vertical panel; and a generally C-shaped channel fixed to and extending forwardly from the rear wall.
2 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 1 , wherein the C-shaped channel comprises a vertical wall, a floor attached to a lower end of the vertical wall, a ceiling attached to an upper end of the vertical wall, and upper and lower lips attached to, respectively, the ceiling and the floor.
3 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 1 , wherein the nub is eccentrically positioned on the vertical panel.
4 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 1 , further comprising upper and lower gussets that extend between the C-shaped channel and the rear wall.
5 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 4 , further comprising a vertical rib extending between the upper and lower gussets.
6 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 1 , further comprising a web of braces that attaches the rear wall to the vertical panel.
7 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 1 , formed of a polymeric material and as a monolithic component.
8 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 1 , in combination with a mounting bracket, the mounting bracket comprising:
a main panel having front and rear surfaces, upper and lower edges, and opposed side edges; an L-shaped upper flange mounted to front surface of the main panel; an L-shaped lower flange mounted to the front surface of the main panel substantially parallel to the upper flange; a recess in the main panel positioned between the upper flange and the lower flange; and means for mounting the main panel to the cabinet wall so that the rear surface confronts the rear wall; and wherein the nub of the ball bearing bracket is received in the recess, the upper edge of the vertical panel engages the upper flange, and the lower edge of the vertical panel engages the lower flange.
9 . The combination defined in claim 8 , wherein the C-shaped channel comprises a vertical wall, a floor attached to a lower end of the vertical wall, a ceiling attached to an upper end of the vertical wall, and upper and lower lips attached to, respectively, the ceiling and the floor.
10 . The combination defined in claim 8 , wherein the nub is eccentrically positioned on the vertical panel.
11 . The combination defined in claim 8 , further comprising upper and lower gussets that extend between the C-shaped channel and the rear wall.
12 . The combination defined in claim 11 , further comprising a vertical rib extending between the upper and lower gussets.
13 . The combination defined in claim 8 , further comprising a web of braces that attaches the rear wall to the vertical panel.
14 . The combination defined in claim 8 , wherein the ball bearing slide bracket is formed of a polymeric material and as a monolithic component.
15 . A ball bearing drawer slide bracket, comprising:
a vertical panel with upper and lower edges; a nub extending from a first side of the vertical panel; a web of braces extending from a second, opposite side of the vertical panel a rear wall positioned generally parallel to and fixed relative to the vertical panel; a generally C-shaped channel fixed to and extending forwardly from the rear wall; the C-shaped channel comprising a vertical wall, a floor attached to a lower end of the vertical wall, a ceiling attached to an upper end of the vertical wall, and upper and lower lips attached to, respectively, the ceiling and the floor; and upper and lower gussets that extend between the C-shaped channel and the rear wall and a vertical rib extending between the upper and lower gussets.
16 . The ball bearing bracket defined in claim 15 , wherein the nub is eccentrically positioned on the vertical panel.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
