The method includes topically applying to skin in need thereof a composition comprising palmitoyl tetrapeptide 7, water, glycerin, butylene glycol, disodium EDTA, citric acid, sodium lactate, and a carbomer. Topical application of the composition to the skin reduces the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles, firms the skin, or hydrates the skin.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of reducing the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles, firming skin, or hydrating skin, the method comprising topically applying to skin in need thereof a composition comprising:
(a) palmitoyl tetrapeptide 7; (b) water; (c) glycerin; (d) butylene glycol; (e) disodium EDTA; (f) citric acid; (g) sodium lactate; and (h) carbomer, wherein topical application of the composition to the skin reduces the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles, firms the skin, or hydrates the skin.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition is applied to a fine line or wrinkle.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the composition further comprises:
(i) caprylic/capric triglyceride; (j) cetearyl alcohol; (k) hydrogenated coco-glycerides; (l) Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter; (m) dimethicone; (n) tocopheryl acetate; and (o) dimethiconol.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the composition further comprises:
(p) squalane; (q) glyceryl stearate; (r) PEG-100 stearate; (s) ascorbyl glucoside; and (t) glucose.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the composition is an oil-in-water emulsion.
6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the composition further comprises:
(p) titanium dioxide; and (q) glyceryl stearate.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the composition is an oil-in-water emulsion.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition hydrates the skin.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the skin is dry skin.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the composition further comprises:
(i) PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil; and (q) xanthan gum.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the composition is transparent.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the composition is an aqueous solution.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition is further comprises gallic acid esters.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition is applied to facial skin.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pH of the composition is 6 to 9.
16 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising palmitoyl oligopeptide.
17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises 30 to 80 wt. % water.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
