Abstract

An improved riflescope mounting system for mounting a riflescope to a rifle having a line along the length of the bottom of the riflescope and a matching vertical notch line on the bottom of the mounting rings wherein when a user mounts the scope, the user just needs to align the riflescope line with the matching vertical notch line on the mounting rings before securing the mounting rings around said riflescope is disclosed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An improved riflescope mounting system using two or more mounting rings for mounting a riflescope to a rifle comprising:
 said riflescope having a riflescope line along a part of the bottom of the riflescope;   each of said two or more mounting rings having a vertical notch line on a center lower ring face of each of said two or more mounting rings that matches said line along a part of the bottom of said riflescope; and,   wherein to mount said riflescope a user aligns said riflescope line on said riflescope with said vertical notch line on each of said two or more mounting rings before securing said two or more mounting rings around said riflescope.
