Tetrazole derivatives as trpa1 inhibitors

Abstract

The present disclosure provides certain tetrazole derivatives that are inhibitors of transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1), and are therefore useful for the treatment of diseases treatable by inhibition of TRPA1. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions containing the same, and processes for preparing said compounds.

         A is selected from the group consisting of phenyl, thienophenyl, benzothiophenyl and benzofuranyl, unsubstituted or substituted with one or two members of the group R 1  selected from —CN, halogen, C 1-4 -alkyl, O—C 1-4 -alkyl, C 1-4 -fluoroalkyl, O—C 1-4 -fluoroalkyl, C 3-4 -cycloalkyl, O—C 3-4 -cycloalkyl, C 3-4 -cyclofluoroalkyl and O—C 3-4 -cyclofluoroalkyl;

         7 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one compound of formula (I) according to  claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. 
     
     
         8 . A method for the treatment or prevention of inflammatory airway diseases, fibrotic diseases or cough, comprising administering to a patient in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of formula (I) according to  claim 1  or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
     
     
         9 . A method according to  claim 8 , for the treatment or prevention of idiopathic lung disease (IPF) or cough.
