Abstract

The two-way communication system comprises a non-invasive and non-implanted system which remains completely invisible to an outside observer when in use by an operator or user and allows for clear two-way communications. This system is generally comprised of a mouthpiece component, relay component, infrastructure communication device, and an optional system control which may interface with the relay component.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 3 . (canceled)

         4 . A communication system comprising:
a mouthpiece comprising an audio port, wherein the mouthpiece is removably securable to a tooth of a user; an infrastructure communication device configured to transmit and/or receive signals between the mouthpiece and a remote communication device; and a relay component configured to communicate with the mouthpiece component.

5 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein the audio port is on a surface of the mouthpiece.

6 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the audio port faces a palate of the user.

7 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the audio port faces the tooth or another tooth.

8 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the position of the audio port prevents tongue contact with the audio port during speech.

9 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the position of the audio port prevents cheek contact with the audio port during speech.

10 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein sound for outgoing audio transmissions is capturable via the audio port.

11 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises a tooth contact portion, and wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the tooth contact portion is in an interproximal space between the tooth and an adjacent tooth.

12 . The catheter assembly of claim 11 , wherein the tooth contact portion and the audio port are on opposite sides of the mouthpiece.

13 . The catheter assembly of claim 11 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the tooth contact portion and the audio port are on opposite sides of the tooth.

14 . The catheter assembly of claim 11 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises a connector between the audio port and the tooth contact portion.

15 . The catheter assembly of claim 14 , wherein the audio port and the tooth contact portion are flexible away from each other via the connector.

16 . The catheter assembly of claim 4 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises an air cavity between a microphone and the audio port.

17 . The catheter assembly of claim 16 , wherein the microphone is opposite the audio port.

18 . The catheter assembly of claim 16 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the microphone and the audio port are on the same side of the tooth.

19 . The catheter assembly of claim 16 , wherein when the mouthpiece is secured to the tooth, the microphone is farther from a palate of the user than the audio port.

20 . The catheter assembly of claim 16 , wherein the mouthpiece has a first attenuator between the air cavity and the audio port.

21 . The catheter assembly of claim 20 , wherein the mouthpiece has a second attenuator between the first attenuator and the audio port.

         22 . A communication system comprising:
a mouthpiece comprising an audio port and a tooth contact portion, wherein the audio port is opposite the tooth contact portion, and wherein the audio port is removably securable to a tooth of a user; an infrastructure communication device configured to transmit and/or receive signals from the mouthpiece to a remote communication device; and a relay component configured to communicate with the mouthpiece component.

         23 . A communication system comprising:
a mouthpiece removably securable to a tooth of a user, wherein the mouthpiece comprises a microphone, an air cavity, an attenuator, and an audio port, and wherein the air cavity and the attenuator are between the microphone and the audio port; an infrastructure communication device configured to transmit and/or receive signals from the mouthpiece to a remote communication device; and a relay component configured to communicate with the mouthpiece component.
