Drinking straw
Abstract
A drinking straw is integrally formed of a food-grade plastic material, is flexible and comprises a sheet body, a first engaging portion, and a second engaging portion. The first engaging portion and the second engaging portion are respectively formed on two side edges of the sheet body, and the sheet body can be wound into a tubular shape to enable the first engaging portion to engage with the second engaging portion to form a suction channel in the drinking straw. Consumers can clean an inner part of the drinking straw by disengaging the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion. The drinking straw of the present invention can be cleaned easily, can reduce the cost of manufacture, and can improve suction efficiency.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A drinking straw integrally formed of a food-grade plastic material, being flexible, and comprising:
a sheet body having two side edges; a first engaging portion formed on one of the two side edges of the sheet body; and a second engaging portion formed on the other one of the two side edges of the sheet body; wherein the sheet body is wound into a tubular shape to enable the first engaging portion to engage with the second engaging portion to form a suction channel in the drinking straw.
2 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 1 , wherein
the first engaging portion has a first engaging rib and a first engaging slot formed on the drinking straw along an axial direction of the drinking straw; the first engaging slot of the first engaging portion is formed between the first engaging rib and the sheet body; the second engaging portion has a second engaging rib and a second engaging slot formed on the drinking straw along the axial direction of the drinking straw; the second engaging slot of the second engaging portion is formed between the second engaging rib and the sheet body; and the first engaging rib engages with the second engaging slot, and the second engaging rib engages with the first engaging slot.
3 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 2 , wherein
the first engaging rib of the first engaging portion has a first limiting flange formed on and protruded from the first engaging portion toward the first engaging slot; the second engaging rib of the second engaging portion has a second limiting flange formed on and protruded from the second engaging portion toward the second engaging slot; and the first limiting flange engages with the second engaging slot, and the second limiting flange engages with the first engaging slot.
4 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the drinking straw is integrally made of a silicone material.
5 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the drinking straw is integrally made of a silicone material.
6 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the drinking straw is integrally made of a silicone material.
7 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the drinking straw has a piercing portion formed on a bottom end of the drinking straw.
8 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the drinking straw has a piercing portion formed on a bottom end of the drinking straw.
9 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the drinking straw has a piercing portion formed on a bottom end of the drinking straw.
10 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the drinking straw has a piercing portion formed on a bottom end of the drinking straw.
11 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the drinking straw has a piercing portion formed on a bottom end of the drinking straw.
12 . The drinking straw as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the drinking straw has a piercing portion formed on a bottom end of the drinking straw.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
