Interactive electronic communications and control system
Abstract
A system comprising a database containing user data, an interface engine that communicates with the database and parses the data, an application server that communicates with the interface engine, a user device that receives and displays the parsed data, receives user-provided information, and sends the user-provided information to the application server, wherein the application server automatically updates the user device display with the parsed data, receives user-provided information from said user device, and provides the user-provided information to the interface engine for updating the database.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified5 - 22 . (canceled)
23 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions
which, when executed, cause a processor to: retrieve an application for a user device, wherein the application is configured to communicate with a facility application server; communicate user information, via the application, to the facility application server so that the facility application server can authenticate the user device, wherein the communication occurs over a secure connection; pair the user device with the endpoint device; upon authentication, display control icons on a display of the user device; and send one or more commands from the user device to the facility application server so that the facility application server can forward the one or more commands to the endpoint device to cause the endpoint device to perform an action based on the one or more commands.
24 . A method, the method comprising:
retrieving an application for a user device, wherein the application is configured to communicate with a facility application server; communicating user information, via the application, to the facility application server so that the facility application server can authenticate the user device, wherein the communication occurs over a secure connection; pairing the user device with the endpoint device; upon authentication, displaying control icons on a display of the user device; and sending one or more commands from the user device to the facility application server so that the facility application server can forward the one or more commands to the endpoint device to cause the endpoint device to perform an action based on the one or more commands.
25 . An interactive electronic media and communications system for a facility comprising:
one or more servers, wherein the one or more servers are configured to be communicatively coupled to an electronic records database corresponding to one or more end users, and wherein the one or more servers are configured to be communicatively coupled to one or more endpoint devices, wherein the one or more endpoint devices are configured to be utilized by the one or more end users located within said facility; and one or more processors coupled to the one or more servers, wherein the one or more processors are configured to:
cause the one or more servers to receive data from the electronic records system that relate to the one or more end users;
cause the one or more servers to parse the end user data into a format usable by the system, thereby creating parsed end user data;
cause the one or more servers to store the parsed end user data;
cause the one or more servers to enable the one or more endpoint devices to receive and display end user-related information;
cause the one or more servers to match a specific end user to one of the one or more endpoint devices; and
cause the one or more servers to send a command to the matched endpoint device to display said end user-related information.
26 . The interactive electronic media and communications system of claim 23 , wherein the one or more endpoint devices includes one or more of: a standard television, a smart television, a bedside terminal, a smart tablet, a smart phone, and a digital white board terminal.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
