Abstract

Systems, computer-implemented methods and/or computer program products that facilitate automating home control are provided. In one embodiment a computer-implemented method comprises: using a voice recognition component to identify user identification by analyzing voice signatures; using a face recognition component to determine user identification by analyzing facial features; using an authentication component to verify user identification and authorize control access to functionality of one or more automated home control systems; using a communication component to facilitate communication between the one or more automated home control systems and one or more devices; using a service component to execute a set of functions based on authorized user commands and information communicated from the one or more devices; and using a machine learning component to learn user preferences by correlating a set of functions with the authorized users commands.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An automated home control system, comprising:
a processor; and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, the memory having stored therein computer-executable instructions, comprising:
 a machine learning component that:
tracks, using one or more cameras, activities of one or more occupants of a home over a defined period, and
learns one or more home automation preferences by correlating a set of functions with the activities of the one or more occupants.

2 . The automated home control system of claim 1 , wherein the machine learning component customizes operation of an automated home control device of the home based on the learned one or more home automation preferences.

3 . The automated home control system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a housekeeper restriction setting that restricts access of a housekeeper to only music channels on a television.

4 . The automated home control system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a notification setting that notifies a child in the home to go back to doing homework when a study break is over.

5 . The automated home control system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises an override setting that overrides an automated home control device restriction in response to detection of an emergency personnel at the home.

6 . The automated home control system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a fight notification setting that transmits an alert to a device associated with a parent when a fight amongst children in the home is detected.

7 . The automated home control system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a stressed animal notification setting that transmits an alert to a device associated with an owner of a dog in the home when stress in a behavior of the dog is detected.

         8 . A method, comprising:
tracking, by a system comprising a processor, using one or more cameras, activities of one or more occupants of a home over a defined period; and learning, by the system, one or more home automation preferences by correlating a set of functions with the activities of the one or more occupants.

9 . The method of claim 8 , customizing, by the system, operation of an automated home control device of the home based on the learned one or more home automation preferences.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a housekeeper restriction setting that restricts access of a housekeeper to only music channels on a television.

11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a notification setting that notifies a child in the home to go back to doing homework when a study break is over.

12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises an override setting that overrides an automated home control device restriction in response to detection of an emergency personnel at the home.

13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a fight notification setting that transmits an alert to a device associated with a parent when a fight amongst children in the home is detected.

14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a stressed animal notification setting that transmits an alert to a device associated with an owner of a dog in the home when stress in a behavior of the dog is detected.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution, cause a system including a processor to perform operations comprising:
track, using one or more cameras, activities of one or more occupants of a home over a defined period; and learn one or more home automation preferences by correlating a set of functions with the activities of the one or more occupants.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise customize operation of an automated home control device of the home based on the learned one or more home automation preferences.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a housekeeper restriction setting that restricts access of a housekeeper to only music channels on a television.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a notification setting that notifies a child in the home to go back to doing homework when a study break is over.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises an override setting that overrides an automated home control device restriction in response to detection of an emergency personnel at the home.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more home automation preferences comprises a fight notification setting that transmits an alert to a device associated with a parent when a fight amongst children in the home is detected.
