Vaping devices with integrated lumens
Abstract
Disclosed are systems, devices, and/or methods of use thereof regarding vaporizing devices having integrated elements, such as integrated lumens or center posts. In various aspects, disclosed vaporizing devices include a tank having an integrally formed center post within an interior of the tank, with the interior of the tank and an exterior of the center post defining a reservoir for holding a liquid to be vaporized. In some embodiments, the vaporizing devices additionally include an atomizer housed within a base, where the base can be attachable to a distal end of the tank. Further, disclose vaporizing devices can include an atomizer seal disposed around a distal end of the center post, where the atomizer seal includes a first through hole and a first pore. In some embodiments, the vaporizing devices additionally include a connector or mouthpiece mounting structure integral to a proximal end of the center post.

1 . A vaporizing device comprising:
a tank having an integrally formed center post within an interior of the tank, the interior of the tank and an exterior of the center post defining a reservoir for holding a liquid to be vaporized; an atomizer housed within a base, the base attachable to a distal end of the tank; an atomizer seal disposed around a distal end of the center post, the atomizer seal comprising a first through hole and a first pore, the first through hole for placing the reservoir in fluid communication with the atomizer and the first pore for placing an internal lumen of the center post in fluid communication with the atomizer such that vapor produced by the atomizer flows proximally through the internal lumen of the center post and out of the vaporizing device; a mouthpiece mounting structure integral to a proximal end of the center post; and a mouthpiece assembly comprising a mouthpiece and a filter received by the mouthpiece, the mouthpiece assembly connectable to the mouthpiece mounting structure, wherein the tank can be filled with the liquid to be vaporized from an open proximal end and the tank can be filled with the liquid to be vaporized from a distal end of the tank via the first through hole of the atomizer seal.
2 . The vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein the atomizer comprises a ceramic core, the ceramic core having a conical slot on a proximal surface of the ceramic core.
3 . The vaporizing device of claim 1 , further comprising a first sealing ring disposed between an exterior of the base and the interior of the tank at the distal end of the tank.
4 . The vaporizing device of claim 1 , further comprising an attachment base abutting a distal end of the base.
5 . The vaporizing device of claim 4 , wherein the attachment base comprises external threads for attaching the vaporizing device to a power source.
6 . The vaporizing device of claim 1 , further comprising a wick disposed over the atomizer, the wick also placing the reservoir in fluid communication with the atomizer, such that liquid from the reservoir flows through the wick to the atomizer to be vaporized.
7 . The vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece mounting structure comprises a body defining an internal channel, the body having a proximal flange, a median flange, and a distal flange, and wherein the proximal flange together with the medial flange defines a first groove, and the median flange together with the distal flange defines a second groove, the second groove for receiving a third sealing ring.
8 . The vaporizing device of claim 7 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises a hollow body having proximal and distal ends, the distal end of the hollow body having a groove for receiving a second sealing ring, the second sealing ring for interfacing with an interior of the open proximal end of the tank.
9 . The vaporizing device of claim 8 , wherein opposing protrusions extend from an inner wall of the hollow body into an interior of the hollow body of the mouthpiece, the protrusions for interfacing with the proximal flange of the body of the mouthpiece mounting structure.
10 . The vaporizing device of claim 8 , wherein the proximal end of the hollow body of the mouthpiece receives the filter of the mouthpiece assembly.
11 . The vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece assembly is detachably connectable to the mouthpiece mounting structure.
12 . A vaporizing device comprising:
a tank having an integrally formed center post within an interior of the tank, the interior of the tank and an exterior of the center post defining a reservoir for holding a liquid to be vaporized, the tank having a proximal end and a distal end; an atomizer housed by the distal end of the tank; a wick disposed on a surface of the atomizer; an atomizer seal disposed on a proximal surface of the wick and around a distal end of the center post, the atomizer seal having a first pore fluidly connecting the reservoir to the wick and the atomizer; a base connectable with the distal end of the tank; and a mouthpiece assembly connectable to a proximal end of the center post,
wherein the tank can be filled with the liquid to be vaporized from an open proximal end and the tank can be filled with the liquid to be vaporized from the distal end of the tank.
13 . The vaporizing device of claim 12 , wherein the atomizer comprises a ceramic disc having a slot partially extending into the ceramic disc from a proximal surface of the ceramic disc.
14 . The vaporizing device of claim 12 , further comprising an insulating ring disposed distal of the atomizer, a portion of the insulating ring received by the base.
15 . The vaporizing device of claim 14 , wherein the atomizer comprises an anode and a cathode extending from a distal end of the atomizer, and
wherein the insulating ring is disposed around and receives the anode and cathode, such that the cathode is disposed between the insulating ring and an interior wall of the base and the anode is disposed between the insulating ring and a wire partially received by the base.
16 . The vaporizing device of claim 12 , further comprising a steel ring disposed about the distal end of the tank and abutting a flange of the base.
17 . The vaporizing device of claim 12 , wherein the proximal end of the center post comprises a pair of flanges for detachably interfacing with the mouthpiece assembly.
18 . The vaporizing device of claim 17 , wherein the mouthpiece assembly comprises a mouthpiece body defining an internal channel, the internal channel having a pair of grooves corresponding to the pair of flanges of the center post, wherein the pair of grooves facilitate the detachable connection of the mouthpiece assembly to the proximal end of the center post.
19 . The vaporizing device of claim 12 , wherein the wick is disposed on a proximal surface of the atomizer.
