Concurrent browsing interface

Abstract

Methods, systems, and computer storage media provide a concurrent browsing session. A user interface is provided for display on a first computing device of a first user to facilitate the concurrent browsing session. The user interface simultaneously displays a first browsing screen showing interaction of the first user with a site and a real-time feed of a second browsing screen presented on a second computing device of a second user showing interaction of the second user with the site. Input selecting a first item from the real-time feed of the second browsing screen is received from the first computing device. Responsive to the input, the first item is added to a digital cart.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
 providing, for display on a first computing device of a first user, a user interface configured to simultaneously display a first browsing screen showing interaction of the first user with a site and a real-time feed of a second browsing screen presented on a second computing device of a second user showing interaction of the second user with the site;   receiving, from the first computing device, input selecting a first item from the real-time feed of the second browsing screen; and   responsive to the input, adding the first item to a digital cart.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the digital cart comprises a shared digital cart provided for display on the first computing device and the second computing device. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the digital cart includes a second item added to the digital cart by the second user. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the digital cart is associated with the first user and includes one or more items selected by the first user. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4 , wherein a second digital cart is associated with the second user and includes one or more items selected by the second user. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises:
 providing, to the first user, a recommendation to purchase the first item.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , wherein the method further comprises:
 comparing a first shipping cost associated with a first location of the first user and a second shipping cost associated with a second location of the second user; and   generating the recommendation based on the comparison.   
     
     
         8 . One or more computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
 providing, for display on a first computing device of a first user, a user interface configured to simultaneously display a first browsing screen showing interaction of the first user with a site and a real-time feed of a second browsing screen presented on a second computing device of a second user showing interaction of the second user with the site;   receiving, from the first computing device, input selecting a first item from the real-time feed of the second browsing screen; and   responsive to the input, adding the first item to a digital cart.   
     
     
         9 . The one or more computer storage media of  claim 8 , wherein the digital cart comprises a shared digital cart provided for display on the first computing device and the second computing device. 
     
     
         10 . The one or more computer storage media of  claim 9 , wherein the digital cart includes a second item added to the digital cart by the second user. 
     
     
         11 . The one or more computer storage media of  claim 8 , wherein the digital cart is associated with the first user and includes one or more items selected by the first user. 
     
     
         12 . The one or more computer storage media of  claim 11 , wherein a second digital cart is associated with the second user and includes one or more items selected by the second user. 
     
     
         13 . The one or more computer storage media of  claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 providing, to the first user, a recommendation to purchase the first item.   
     
     
         14 . The one or more computer storage media of  claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 comparing a first shipping cost associated with a first location of the first user and a second shipping cost associated with a second location of the second user; and   generating the recommendation based on the comparison.   
     
     
         15 . A system comprising:
 one or more processors; and   one or more computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions that, when used by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
 providing, for display on a first computing device of a first user, a user interface configured to simultaneously display a first browsing screen showing interaction of the first user with a site and a real-time feed of a second browsing screen presented on a second computing device of a second user showing interaction of the second user with the site; 
 receiving, from the first computing device, input selecting a first item from the real-time feed of the second browsing screen; and 
 responsive to the input, adding the first item to a digital cart. 
   
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 15 , wherein the digital cart comprises a shared digital cart provided for display on the first computing device and the second computing device. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the digital cart includes a second item added to the digital cart by the second user. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 15 , wherein the digital cart is associated with the first user and includes one or more items selected by the first user. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 18 , wherein a second digital cart is associated with the second user and includes one or more items selected by the second user. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 comparing a first shipping cost associated with a first location of the first user and a second shipping cost associated with a second location of the second user;   generating, based on the comparison, a recommendation for the first user to purchase the first item; and   providing the recommendation to the first computing device.
