Abstract
Disclosed herein are a backlight unit and a display device using the same. In an embodiment, the backlight unit includes a substrate, at least one light source on the substrate, a lenses placed over the light source, a reflection sheet in which at least one through hole corresponding to the lens is formed, and a reflection ring comprising an opening portion corresponding to the at least one light source, and placed between the lens and the substrate. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, luminance uniformity of the backlight unit can be improved because the reflection ring surrounding the light source is included.

20 . A display device comprising:
a display panel; a back cover at a rear of the display panel; a lower guide panel mounted on a front surface of the back cover between the display panel and the back cover, the lower guide panel disposed adjacent to an edge of the display panel; an optical layer disposed between the display panel and the back cover, and seated on the lower guide panel; and an upper guide panel including a horizontal part supporting a rear surface of the display panel adjacent to the edge of the display panel and a vertical part connected with the lower guide panel.
21 . The display device of claim 20 , wherein the horizontal part of the upper guide panel is disposed between the display panel and the optical layer, and
wherein a part of the optical layer is disposed between the horizontal part of the upper guide panel and the lower guide panel, the part of the optical layer is seated on the lower guide panel.
22 . The display device of claim 20 , wherein the back cover includes a horizontal part facing the rear surface of the display panel and a vertical part bent from edges of the horizontal part of the back cover, and
wherein the lower guide panel is positioned adjacent to a corner between the horizontal part and the vertical part of the back cover.
23 . The display device of claim 22 , wherein an inner surface of the vertical part of the back cover supports the lower guide panel and the front surface of the horizontal part of the back cover supports the lower guide panel.
24 . The display device of claim 20 , wherein the lower guide panel includes a leg protruding toward the back cover, and
wherein the leg is penetrating from the front surface of the back cover to a rear surface of the back cover such that the lower guide panel is fixed to the back cover.
25 . The display device of claim 24 , wherein an end of the leg of the lower guide panel protrudes from the rear surface of the back cover such that the end of the leg of the lower guide panel is exposed to an outside of the back cover at a rear of the back cover.
26 . The display device of claim 20 , wherein the vertical part of the upper guide panel is connected with at least one of the lower guide panel or the back cover.
27 . The display device of claim 26 , wherein the back cover includes a horizontal part facing the rear surface of the display panel and a vertical part bent from edges of the horizontal part of the back cover, and
wherein the vertical part of the upper guide panel is connected with at least one of the lower guide part or the vertical part of the back cover.
28 . A display device comprising:
a display panel; a back cover at a rear of the display panel; a lower guide panel mounted on the back cover between the display panel and the back cover, the lower guide panel disposed adjacent to an edge of the display panel and extended along the edge of the display panel; an optical layer disposed between the display panel and the back cover, and disposed on the lower guide panel; and an upper guide panel including a horizontal part supporting a rear surface of the display panel adjacent to the edge of the display panel and a vertical part connected with the lower guide panel, wherein the horizontal part of the upper guide panel is disposed between the display panel and the optical layer, and wherein an end part of the optical layer is disposed between the horizontal part of the upper guide panel and the lower guide panel, and the end part of the optical layer is seated on the lower guide panel.
29 . The display device of claim 28 , wherein the back cover includes a horizontal part facing a rear surface of the display panel and a vertical part bent from edges of the horizontal part of the back cover, and
wherein the lower guide panel is positioned adjacent to a corner between the horizontal part and the vertical part of the back cover.
30 . The display device of claim 29 , wherein an inner surface of the vertical part of the back cover supports the lower guide panel and a front surface of the horizontal part of the back cover supports the lower guide panel.
31 . The display device of claim 28 , wherein the lower guide panel includes a leg protruding toward the back cover,
wherein the leg is penetrating from a front surface of the back cover to a rear surface of the back cover such that the lower guide panel is fixed to the back cover, and wherein an end of the leg of the lower guide panel protrudes from the rear surface of the back cover such that the end of the leg of the lower guide panel is exposed to an outside of the back cover at a rear of the back cover.
32 . The display device of claim 28 , wherein the vertical part of the upper guide panel is connected with at least one of the lower guide panel or the back cover.
33 . The display device of claim 32 , wherein the back cover includes a horizontal part facing a rear surface of the display panel and a vertical part bent from edges of the horizontal part of the back cover, and
