Systems and methods for distributing advertisements
Abstract
Systems and methods for distributing social media posts from social media operators is described. In one example, a system includes a computing device that is configured to obtain posts of a merchant from social media operators. A request to distribute a social media post from the posts to a recipient group is identified based at least in part on the social media post include a subject tag for the merchant. A subset of the posts is filtered based at least in part on an identification of a duplicative post with the subject tag. A set of recipients for the recipient group is identified based at least part on individual recipients in the set of recipients sharing a common preference and metadata associated with a particular post of the subset of the posts. The particular post of the subset of the posts is inserted into a web page.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedTherefore, the following is claimed:
1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
obtaining, by a computer-based system, a first portion of a plurality of posts from a first social media operator and a second portion of the plurality of posts from a second social media operator; identifying, by the computer-based system, a request to distribute a social media post from the plurality of posts to a recipient group based at least in part on the social media post comprising a subject tag for a merchant; filtering, by the computer-based system, a subset of the posts from the plurality of posts, the subset of the posts being filtered being based at least in part on an identification of a duplicative post with the subject tag for the merchant received from the first social media operator or the second social media operator; identifying, by the computer-based system, a set of recipients for the recipient group based at least part on individual recipients in the set of recipients sharing a common preference; and inserting, by the computer-based system, a particular post of the subset of the posts into a web page displayed by a recipient device.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the set of recipients for the group is further identified based at least in part on metadata associated with the particular post of the subset of the plurality of posts, the metadata comprising a geographic location associated with the merchant.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the set of recipients are identified based at least in part on a respective geographic location of the set of recipients being within a predefined distance from the geographic location of the merchant.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the subset of the posts being are further filtered based at least in part on an expiration date stored in metadata associated with the particular post of the subset of the plurality of posts.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein filtering based at least in part on the expiration date stored in the metadata further comprising:
determining, by the computer-based system, that a current date is later than the expiration date; and removing, by the computer-based system, at least one post from the plurality of posts in response to determining that the current date is later than the expiration date.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
identifying, by the computer-based system, the recipient group for distributing the social media post based at least in part the subject tag, the subject tag providing an identifier for the recipient group.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein obtaining the first portion of a plurality of posts from the first social media operator and the second portion of the plurality of posts from the second social media operator further comprising:
transmitting, by the computer-based system, a first social post request to the first social media operator, the first social post request comprising the subject tag; and transmitting, by the computer-based system, a second social post request to the second social media operator, the second social post request comprising the subject tag.
8 . A system, comprising:
a computing device comprising a processor and a memory; machine-readable instructions stored in the memory that, when executed by the processor, cause the computing device to at least:
obtain a first portion of a plurality of posts from a first social media operator and a second portion of the plurality of posts from a second social media operator;
identify a request to distribute a social media post from the plurality of posts to a recipient group based at least in part on the social media post comprising a subject tag for a merchant;
filter a subset of the posts from the plurality of posts, the subset of the posts being filtered being based at least in part on an identification of a duplicative post with the subject tag for the merchant received from the first social media operator or the second social media operator;
identify a set of recipients for the recipient group based at least part on individual recipients in the set of recipients sharing a common preference; and
insert a particular post of the subset of the posts into a web page displayed by a recipient device.
9 . The system of claim 8 wherein the set of recipients for the group is further identified based at least in part on metadata associated with the particular post of the subset of the plurality of posts, the metadata comprising a geographic location associated with the merchant.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the set of recipients are identified based at least in part on a respective geographic location of the set of recipients being within a predefined distance from the geographic location of the merchant.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the subset of the posts being are further filtered based at least in part on an expiration date stored in metadata associated with the particular post of the subset of the plurality of posts.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein filtering based at least in part on the expiration date stored in the metadata further causes the computing device, to at least:
determine that a current date is later than the expiration date; and remove at least one post from the plurality of posts in response to determining that the current date is later than the expiration date.
13 . The system of claim 8 , when the machine-readable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the computing device to at least:
identify the recipient group for distributing the social media post based at least in part the subject tag, the subject tag providing an identifier for the recipient group.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein obtaining the first portion of the plurality of posts from the first social media operator and the second portion of the plurality of posts from the second social media operator further causes the computing device to at least:
transmit a first social post request to the first social media operator, the first social post request comprising the subject tag; and transmit a second social post request to the second social media operator, the second social post request comprising the subject tag.
15 . A non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause a computing device to at least:
obtain a first portion of a plurality of posts from a first social media operator and a second portion of the plurality of posts from a second social media operator; identify a request to distribute a social media post from the plurality of posts to a recipient group based at least in part on the social media post comprising a subject tag for a merchant; filter a subset of the posts from the plurality of posts, the subset of the posts being filtered being based at least in part on an identification of a duplicative post with the subject tag for the merchant received from the first social media operator or the second social media operator; identify a set of recipients for the recipient group based at least part on individual recipients in the set of recipients sharing a common preference; and insert 1 particular post of the subset of the posts into a web page displayed by a recipient device.
16 . The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the set of recipients for the group is further identified based at least in part on metadata associated with the particular post of the subset of the plurality of posts, the metadata comprising a geographic location associated with the merchant.
17 . The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the set of recipients are identified based at least in part on a respective geographic location of the set of recipients being within a predefined distance from the geographic location of the merchant.
18 . The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the subset of the posts being are further filtered based at least in part on an expiration date stored in metadata associated with the particular post of the subset of the plurality of posts.
19 . The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein filtering based at least in part on the expiration date stored in the metadata further causes the computing device to at least:
determine that a current date is later than the expiration date; and remove at least one post from the plurality of posts in response to determining that the current date is later than the expiration date.
20 . The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the machine-readable instructions, when executed by the processor, further cause the computing device to at least:
identify the recipient group for distributing the social media post based at least in part the subject tag, the subject tag providing an identifier for the recipient group.Cited by (0)
