Device, method, and computer program for performing actions on iot devices
Abstract
A method of controlling an Internet of Things (IoT) device to perform an action, is performed by an electronic device and includes obtaining at least one input from a user, based on a predefined action corresponding to the obtained at least one input being not identifiable, transmitting the obtained at least one input to a server, receiving, from the server, information regarding at least one activity that is mapped to at least one IoT device that is identified based on the transmitted at least one input, and information regarding at least one object and/or at least one context, and identifying an action to be performed on an IoT device among the at least one IoT device, based on a correlation between the obtained at least one input and the at least one activity mapped to the at least one IoT device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method of controlling an Internet of Things (IoT) device, by an electronic device, the method comprising:
obtaining a user input; determining whether a predefined action corresponding to the user input is identifiable; in case that the predefined action corresponding to the user input is not identifiable, initiating tracking of interactions of a user; and updating a database based on the interactions and the user input.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the updating the database comprises, based on the interactions, mapping any one of the interactions corresponding to the user input.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
in case of obtaining a new user input identical to the user input after the mapping is completed, operating at least one of IoT devices according to the mapped interactions.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the electronic device performs functionalities of a server.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the interactions comprise at least one action performed by at least one IoT device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
based on the interactions, identifying a context of the user.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
based on the interactions, providing information for suggesting an action to be performed.
8 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program for performing the method of claim 1 , on a computer.
9 . An electronic device for controlling an Internet of Things (IoT) device, the electronic device comprising:
a memory storing one or more instructions; a communication interface; and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory to:
obtain a user input,
determine whether a predefined action corresponding to the user input is identifiable,
in case that the predefined action corresponding to the user input is not identifiable, initiate tracking of interactions of a user, and
update a database based on the interactions and the user input.
10 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the one or more instructions to update the database by:
based on the interactions, mapping any one of the interactions corresponding to the user input.
11 . The electronic device of claim 10 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute the one or more instructions to:
in case of obtaining a new user input identical to the user input after the mapping is completed, operate at least one of IoT devices according to the mapped interactions.
12 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein the electronic device performs functionalities of a server.
13 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein the interactions comprise at least one action performed by at least one IoT device.
14 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute the one or more instructions to:
based on the interactions, identify a context of the user.
15 . The electronic device of claim 9 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute the one or more instructions to:
based on the interactions, provide an information for suggesting an action to be performed.Cited by (0)
