Abstract
A catalyst support material for an electrochemical system. The catalyst support material includes a metal material of SnWO4 reactive with H3O+, HF and/or SO3− to form reaction products in which the metal material of SnWO4 accounts for a stable molar percentage of the reaction products.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A catalyst support material for an electrochemical system, the catalyst support material comprising:
a metal material of SnWO 4 reactive with H 3 O + , HF and/or SO 3 − to form reaction products in which the metal material of SnWO 4 accounts for a stable molar percentage of the reaction products.
2 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the metal material of SnWO 4 is an at least partially oxidized form of SnWO 4 .
3 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the stable molar percentage is greater than or equal to 80 percent.
4 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the metal material includes a mixture of an at least partially oxidized form of SnMo 4 O 6 and the at least partially oxidized form of SnWO 4 .
5 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the metal material is a spherical metal material.
6 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the metal material is a planar metal material.
7 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the metal material is doped with a doping material at an atomic percentage, and the doping material is selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, carbon, fluorine, and a combination thereof.
8 . The catalyst support material of claim 7 , wherein the atomic percentage is in a range of 1 to 25 atomic percent.
9 . The catalyst support material of claim 1 , wherein the metal material is mixed with a conducting material.
10 . The catalyst support material of claim 9 , wherein the conducting material is carbon.
11 . The catalyst support material of claim 9 , wherein the conducting material is included in a range of 5 to 50 mol percent with respect to a mixture of the metal material and the conducting material.
12 . A catalyst support material for an electrochemical system, the catalyst support material comprising:
an intermetallic compound including first, second, and third metals forming first, second, and third metal oxides, respectively, the first, second, and/or third metal oxides reactive with H 3 O + , HF and/or SO 3 − to form reaction products in which the first, second, and/or third metal oxides account for a stable molar percentage of the reaction products, the intermetallic compound is NbMo 2 W, TaMo 2 W, TiMo 2 W, Ti 2 NbSn, or a mixture thereof.
13 . The catalyst support material of claim 12 , wherein the stable molar percentage is greater than or equal to 80 percent.
14 . The catalyst support material of claim 12 , wherein the intermetallic compound is NbMo 2 W and the first, second and third metal oxides are at least partially oxidized forms of Nb 2 O 5 , MoO 3 and WO 3 , respectively.
15 . The catalyst support material of claim 12 , wherein the intermetallic compound is TaMo 2 W and the first, second and third metal oxides are at least partially oxidized forms of Ta 2 O 5 , MoO 3 and WO 3 , respectively.
16 . The catalyst support material of claim 12 , wherein the intermetallic compound is TiMo 2 W and the first, second and third metal oxides are at least partially oxidized forms of TiO 2 , MoO 3 and WO 3 , respectively.
17 . The catalyst support material of claim 12 , wherein the intermetallic compound is Ti 2 NbSn and the first, second and third metal oxides are at least partially oxidized forms of TiO 2 , Nb 2 O 5 , and SnO 2 , respectively.
18 . The catalyst support material of claim 12 , wherein the intermetallic compound is mixed with a conducting material.
19 . The catalyst support material of claim 18 , wherein the intermetallic compound is carbon.
20 . The catalyst support material of claim 18 , wherein the conducting material is included in a range of 5 to 50 mol percent with respect to a mixture of the intermetallic compound and the conducting material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
