Water heater mounting structure

Abstract

A water heater mounting structure for mounting a case to a mounting surface via a support fitting component that is fixed to the mounting surface in a vertical direction. The case houses a burning device. On a back plate of the case, a lock-engagement fitting component is mounted. The lock-engagement fitting component has an upper plate portion and a lower plate portion. The upper plate portion is fixed to the back plate, and the lower plate portion is lock-engageable with the support fitting component from above and has a dimension longer than the support fitting component in the left-right direction. The lower plate portion is lock-engaged with the support fitting component from above to hang and support the case through the lock-engagement fitting component by the support fitting component.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A water heater, the water heater configured to be mountable to a mounting surface in an up-down direction via a mounting fitting component, the mounting fitting component being fixed to a back surface of a case that houses a burning device and having a wall-side mounting portion projecting upward above the case, wherein
 the wall-side mounting portion has a provisionally attaching hole that is lock-engageable with a locking tool disposed at the mounting surface, and at least one fully attaching hole through which a screw is screwed into the mounting surface, and   the provisionally attaching hole is formed by combining a vertical hole extending in the up-down direction and a tapered hole communicating with a lower end of the vertical hole, and the tapered hole has a width expanding toward a lower side of the tapered hole.   
     
     
         2 . The water heater according to  claim 1 , wherein the provisionally attaching hole is configured to guide a screw to the mounting surface. 
     
     
         3 . The water heater according to  claim 1 , wherein the provisionally attaching hole is disposed in a center of the mounting fitting component in a left-right direction. 
     
     
         4 . The water heater according to  claim 1 , wherein the provisionally attaching hole has a different shape than the at least one fully attaching hole.
