Abstract
An electronic cutting machine includes at least one housing to which a drive roller is coupled for moving a sheet to be cut in a first direction and a cutter assembly coupled to the housing and moveable in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A crafting apparatus configured to perform work on a workpiece, the crafting apparatus comprising:
a body defining an interior compartment that houses one or more assemblies that include a carriage configured to hold a blade, wherein the body of the crafting apparatus comprises at least one storage compartment formed by a door of the crafting apparatus.
2 . The crafting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the door includes at least one magnet for securing the blade directly adjacent to the door.
3 . The crafting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the body comprises the door, wherein the storage compartment is defined within the door.
4 . The crafting apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the door comprises a bottom door, wherein the body also comprises a top door.
5 . The crafting apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the bottom door is configured to open forward and the top door is configured to open upward.
6 . An apparatus for working a workpiece, the apparatus comprising:
a first motor; a first pinion coupled to the first motor, wherein the first motor is configured to drive rotation of the first pinion; a first rack engaged with the first pinion, wherein the rotation of the first pinion is configured to drive linear translation of the first rack; and a housing body assembly configured to hold a first working tool, wherein the first rack is coupled to the housing body assembly such that the linear translation is configured to urge the first working tool along a first axis in a first direction against the workpiece.
7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , further comprising a spring disposed between the first rack and a surface of the housing body assembly.
8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the spring comprises a downward urging spring.
9 . The apparatus of claim 6 , further comprising a sensor configured to detect a position of the first working tool along the first axis.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
