Abstract
Systems and devices for a ring wearable cover with deformable circumference are described. The removable cover for a wearable ring device may include a ring-shaped surface and one or more mechanical features integrated into the ring-shaped surface and configured to transition between an open state and a closed state. In the closed state, the ring-shaped surface may be configured to extend around a full circumference of the wearable ring device. In some cases, a diameter of the removable cover in the open state is greater than a diameter of the removable cover in the closed state, and the diameter of the removable cover in the closed state is sized to form an interference fit with a surface of the wearable ring device to lock the removable cover onto the wearable ring device when the removable cover is in the closed state.

a ring-shaped surface configured to transition between an open state and a closed state, wherein in the closed state, the ring-shaped surface is configured to extend around a full circumference of the wearable ring device; and a first curved protrusion and a second curved protrusion opposite of the first curved protrusion that are integrated into the ring-shaped surface and that are configured to transition the removable cover between the open state and the closed state, wherein a diameter of the removable cover in the open state is greater than a diameter of the removable cover in the closed state, and wherein the diameter of the removable cover in the closed state is sized to form an interference fit with a surface of the wearable ring device to lock the removable cover onto the wearable ring device when the removable cover is in the closed state, wherein the first curved protrusion and the second curved protrusion are positioned along an entire circumference of the removable cover, wherein the first curved protrusion and the second curved protrusion extend substantially perpendicular from the ring-shaped surface and then the first curved protrusion and the second curved protrusion extend around and towards the surface of the wearable ring device when the removable cover is in the closed state such that a distance between the first curved protrusion and the second curved protrusion is less than a width of the surface of the wearable ring device when the removable cover is in the closed state.
2 . The removable cover of claim 1 , further comprising a split in the ring-shaped surface, wherein
the split is opened when the removable cover is in the open state, and the split is closed when the removable cover is in the closed state.
3 . The removable cover of claim 2 , wherein the first curved protrusion and the second curved protrusion are configured to maintain the wearable ring device within the removable cover.

The removable cover of claim 2 , wherein the one or more mechanical features further comprise one or more locking ridges in the ring-shaped surface extending outward toward the surface of the wearable ring device, wherein the one or more locking ridges are configured to interface with one or more channels integrated into the surface of the wearable ring device to maintain the wearable ring device in a defined position within the removable cover in the closed state.

The removable cover of claim 2 , wherein the one or more mechanical features further comprise a twist-lock assembly configured to lock the removable cover onto the wearable ring device when the removable cover is in the closed state, wherein the twist-lock assembly comprises a removable portion that locks onto one or more connectors disposed on the ring-shaped surface.

The removable cover of claim 1 , wherein the one or more mechanical features further comprise one or more metallic strips that are pre-stressed to bias into a coiled configuration, wherein the one or more metallic strips are disposed on the ring-shaped surface and configured to transition the removable cover from a straight position in the open state to a rolled position that wraps partially around the wearable ring device in a transition state such that the removable cover fully wraps around the wearable ring device in the closed state.
7 . The removable cover of claim 1 , wherein the one or more mechanical features further comprise one or more hinge or flexible components configured to maintain the removable cover in the open state as the removable cover is positioned onto the wearable ring device and closes the removable cover around the wearable ring device in the closed state.

The removable cover of claim 1 , wherein the one or more mechanical features further comprise one or more clasp features disposed on the ring-shaped surface and configured to transition between an unclasped state when the removable cover is in the open state and a clasped state when the removable cover is in the closed state.
9 . The removable cover of claim 1 , wherein the ring-shaped surface comprises an elastic material configured to stretch and expand around the wearable ring device such that the removable cover forms the interference fit with the surface of the wearable ring device in the closed state.
10 . The removable cover of claim 9 , wherein the elastic material comprises a coiled pattern integrated into the elastic material.
