Abstract
A connector bridge configured to connect between two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices. The connector bridge may include a crossbar portion, two connector pins spaced apart from one another, and wherein the two connector pins extend outward from the crossbar portion in a generally perpendicular direction relative to the crossbar portion. The connector bridge may include a crossbar portion, two openings spaced apart from one another and formed through the crossbar portion, removable bridge pins, and wherein the removeable bridge pins may be configured to be inserted at least partially through the openings.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThat which is claimed:
1 . A connector bridge, comprising:
a. a crossbar portion; b. two connector pins spaced apart from one another, wherein the two connector pins extend outward from the crossbar portion in a generally perpendicular direction relative to the crossbar portion; and
wherein, the connector bridge is configured to connect between two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices.
2 . The connector bridge of claim 1 , wherein each of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices comprise:
a. a main body portion; b. a first fixation port and a second fixation port formed in the main body portion and forming a passage therethrough, and wherein the first fixation port and the second fixation port are disposed generally adjacent to one another; c. a first carrier connector and a second carrier connector connected to the main body portion; and
wherein, the first foundation device is spaced apart from the second foundation device and is configured to be installed to a first side of a mouth of a patient and the second foundation device is configured to be installed to a second side of the mouth of the patient.
3 . The connector bridge of claim 2 , wherein the two connector pins of the connector bridge are configured to engage one with a carrier connector of a first one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices and the other with an adjacent carrier connector of a second one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices.
4 . The connector bridge of claim 2 , wherein a first one of the two carrier connectors extending from a first end edge of the main body portion and a second one of the two carrier connectors extending from a second end edge of the main body portion, and wherein the first one of the two carrier connectors is generally adjacent a first one of the two adjacent fixation ports and a second one of the two carrier connectors is generally adjacent to a second one of the two adjacent fixation ports.
5 . The connector bridge of claim 3 , wherein each of the carrier connectors comprise a connection sleeve, the connection sleeve comprising a lengthwise passageway therethrough.
6 . The connector bridge of claim 5 , wherein the two connector pins of the connector bridge are configured to be received one within the connection sleeve of the carrier connector of the first one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices and the other within the connection sleeve of the adjacent carrier connector of the second one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices.
7 . A connector bridge comprising:
a. a crossbar portion; b. two openings spaced apart from one another and formed through the crossbar portion; c. removable bridge pins, wherein the removable bridge pins are configured to be inserted at least partially through the openings; and
wherein, the connector bridge is configured to connect between two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices.
8 . The connector bridge of claim 7 , wherein each of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices comprise:
a. a main body portion; b. a first fixation port and a second fixation port formed in the main body portion and forming a passage therethrough, and wherein the first fixation port and the second fixation port are disposed generally adjacent to one another; c. a first carrier connector and a second carrier connector connected to the main body portion; and
wherein, the first foundation device is spaced apart from the second foundation device and is configured to be installed to a first side of a mouth of a patient and the second foundation device is configured to be installed to a second side of the mouth of the patient.
9 . The connector bridge of claim 8 , wherein the removable bridge pins of the connector bridge are configured to engage one with a carrier connector of a first one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices and the other with an adjacent carrier connector of a second one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices.
10 . The connector bridge of claim 8 , wherein a first one of the two carrier connectors extending from a first end edge of the main body portion and a second one of the two carrier connectors extending from a second end edge of the main body portion, and wherein the first one of the two carrier connectors is generally adjacent a first one of the two adjacent fixation ports and a second one of the two carrier connectors is generally adjacent to a second one of the two adjacent fixation ports.
11 . The connector bridge of claim 9 , wherein each of the carrier connectors comprise a connection sleeve, the connection sleeve comprising a lengthwise passageway therethrough.
12 . The connector bridge of claim 11 , wherein in an installed state each of the two openings align with a respective one of the connection sleeves, and wherein the removable bridge pins bridge pins of the connector bridge are configured to be received one into one of the two openings and within the connection sleeve of the carrier connector of the first one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices and the other into the other of the two openings and within the connection sleeve of the adjacent carrier connector of the second one of the two adjacent surgical guide foundation devices.Cited by (0)
