Abstract
Disclosed is an air heating apparatus including an expansion tank that preserves water, a water heater that receives heat from a combustion gas generated through a combustion reaction and heat the water, a heating heat exchanger that receives the water heated by the water heater and exchanges heat with air that is to be discharged for heating, a fan that sends the air to the heating heat exchanger, and a case, in which the water heater, the expansion tank, the heating heat exchanger, and the fan are disposed in an interior thereof.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An air heating apparatus comprising:
an expansion tank configured to preserve water; a water heater configured to receive heat from a combustion gas generated through a combustion reaction and heat the water; a heating heat exchanger configured to receive the water heated by the water heater and exchange heat with air that is to be discharged for heating; a fan configured to send the air to the heating heat exchanger; and a case, in which the water heater, the expansion tank, the heating heat exchanger, and the fan are disposed in an interior thereof, wherein the case includes: an outer box having a first opening in a reference direction that is one direction that is perpendicular to an upward/downward direction; and a first opening cover coupled to the outer box and covering the first opening when being coupled to the outer box, and wherein a communication part opened to connect the expansion tank and an outside of the case and configured to guide water from the outside of the case to the expansion tank is formed in the outer box or the first opening cover.
2 . The air heating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the communication part includes:
a communication member, one end of which is connected to the expansion tank such that the expansion tank and the outside of the case are communicated with each other, and connecting the expansion tank and the outside of the case; and an opening/closing member configured to open and close an opposite end of the communication member located on the outside of the case.
3 . The air heating apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the communication member includes an inclined area having a shape that is inclined upwards when viewed from the expansion tank.
4 . The air heating apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the communication member includes an outward protruding area that is an area that protrudes to the outside of the case.
5 . The air heating apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the outward protruding area is opened toward an upper side.
6 . The air heating apparatus of claim 2 , wherein a water level detecting sensor configured to detect a level of water in an interior of the expansion tank is disposed inside the expansion tank.
7 . The air heating apparatus of claim 2 , further comprising:
an overflow pipe connected to the expansion tank to discharge water overflowing from the expansion tank, wherein a location, at which the overflow pipe is connected to the expansion tank is located on a lower side of a location, at which the communication member and the expansion tank are connected to each other.
8 . A method for supplying water to an air heating apparatus, the method comprising:
an opening operation of opening a communication part of a case of the air heating apparatus; and an injection operation of injecting water to an expansion tank of the air heating apparatus through the communication part, wherein the air heating apparatus includes: the expansion tank configured to preserve water; and the case, in which the expansion tank is disposed in an interior thereof, wherein the case includes: an outer box having a first opening in a reference direction that is one direction that is perpendicular to an upward/downward direction; a first opening cover coupled to the outer box and covering the first opening when being coupled to the outer box, and wherein the communication part opened to connect the expansion tank and an outside of the case and configured to guide the water from the outside of the case to the expansion tank is formed in the first opening cover.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the communication part includes:
a communication member, one end of which is connected to the expansion tank such that the expansion tank and the outside of the case are communicated with each other, and connecting the expansion tank and the outside of the case; and an opening/closing member configured to open and close an opposite end of the communication member located on the outside of the case, and the opening operation includes a communication member opening operation of separating the opening/closing member from the communication member to open an opposite end of the communication member located on the outside of the case.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
