Abstract
Processing inputs to electronic list systems. Receiving, from a user device, a user input. Parsing the received user input for at least one of {product genus, product subgenus, product name, brand name, price information, retailer name, manufacturer name}. Querying a history of user activity using the parsed input. Receiving at least one product description responsive to the query. Presenting, via the user device, each received at least one product description to the user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method to process inputs to an electronic list system, comprising:
receiving, by one or more computing devices of the electronic list system from a user device, a user input; parsing, by the one or more computing devices, the received user input to determine product data; in response to parsing the product data in the received user input for querying a service, querying, by the one or more computing devices, a history of user activity using the product data; receiving, by the one or more computing devices, a product description responsive to the query; and presenting, by the one or more computing devices, the product description to the user.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the product data includes a product genus, a product subgenus, a product name, a brand name, price information, a retailer name, or manufacturer name.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the received user input is parsed using a machine learning technique to determine the product data.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the received user input is parsed using a semi-automated classification technique.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the product data is determined using an artificial intelligence approach.
26 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the history of user activity comprises a history of user purchases initiated through the electronic list system.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the history of user purchases comprises a history of user purchases initiated through shopping services other than the list system.
28 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the history of user activity comprises one or more of user world wide web activity, e-mail activity, and scanned receipts.
29 . The method of claim 28 , further comprising in response to receiving user selection of a presented item, ordering, by the one or more computing devices, the item for the user from a shopping service associated with the user selection.
30 . The method of claim 21 , wherein presenting comprises presenting, by the one or more computing devices via the user device, a plurality of matching items in a hierarchy organized by product name, with lower hierarchy levels comprising one or more of price information, retailer name, manufacturer name, size, and quantity.
31 . The method of claim 21 , wherein presenting comprises presenting, by the one or more computing devices via the user device, each previously purchased item with an indication that the item was previously purchased.
32 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the user input is a voice input, the method further comprising:
performing a speech-to-text conversion using natural language processing (NLP).
33 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the product description presented includes a previously purchased item with an indication that the item was previously purchased.
34 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the product description includes a previously purchased item with an indication of a retailer.
35 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the product description includes a previously purchased item with notes associated with a review of a product.
36 . A system, comprising one or more processors coupled to memory to:
receive, from a user device, a user input; parse the received user input to determine product data; in response to parsing the product data in the received user input for querying a service, query a history of user activity using the product data; receive a product description responsive to the query; and present, on a user interface screen of the user device, the product description.
37 . The system of claim 36 , wherein the product data includes a product genus, a product subgenus, a product name, a brand name, price information, a retailer name, or manufacturer name.
38 . The system of claim 36 , wherein the received user input is parsed using a machine learning technique to determine the product data.
39 . The system of claim 36 , wherein the history of user activity comprises a history of user purchases initiated through the system.
40 . A computer program product, comprising:
a non-transitory computer-readable storage device having computer-executable program instructions that when executed cause the computer program product to:
receive a user input;
parse the received user input to determine product data;
in response to parsing the product data in the received user input for querying a service, query a history of user activity using the product data;
receive a product description responsive to the query; and
present the product description on a display.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
