Sock Device
Abstract
A sock device for wearing on a foot while exposing a heel and a front portion of the foot to facilitate cooling of the foot includes a leg tube with an upper opening to an enclosed interior leg space and a foot tube coupled to a lower end of the leg tube and defining an interior foot space in communication with the interior leg space. A distal end of the foot tube with respect to the leg tube defines a front opening to the interior foot space. A heel opening is defined at a juncture of the leg tube and the foot tube. The device is configured to be worn on a foot of a user such that a heel of the foot is exposed through the heel opening and a front portion of the foot extends out of the front opening.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A sock device configured for being worn on a foot of a user comprising:
a leg tube being constructed of a flexible material, the leg tube having a perimeter wall defining an interior leg space, the leg tube being elongated between an upper end and a lower end, the upper end defining an upper opening to the interior leg space, the upper end being configured for extending around a calf and a shin of the user when the sock device is worn; and a foot tube being constructed of the flexible material, the foot tube having a perimeter wall defining an interior foot space, the foot tube being coupled to the lower end of the leg tube, the foot tube extending at an angle downwardly from the leg tube, the interior foot space being in communication with the interior leg space, the foot tube having a distal end relative to the leg tube, the distal end defining a front opening to the interior foot space, the distal end being configured for extending around an arch and a bridge of the foot of the user when the sock device is worn, a heel opening being defined at a juncture of the foot tube and the leg tube, the foot tube and the leg tube being configured such that a heel and an ankle of the user are exposed through the heel opening when the sock device is worn.
2 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising an upper band being attached to the upper end of the leg tube and being constructed of a resiliently stretchable material.
3 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising a front rim being attached to and being coextensive with the distal end of the foot tube, the front rim having a thickness being greater than a thickness of the perimeter wall of the foot tube, the front rim being configured to reinforce the distal end of the foot tube.
4 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising a back rim being attached to and being coextensive with an edge defined by the heel opening, the back rim having a thickness being greater than the thickness of the perimeter wall of the foot tube, the back rim being configured to reinforce the edge.
5 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising the flexible material being cotton.
6 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising the flexible material being nylon.
7 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising the flexible material being polyester.
8 . A sock device configured for being worn on a foot of a user comprising:
a leg tube being constructed of a flexible material, the leg tube having a perimeter wall defining an interior leg space, the leg tube being elongated between an upper end and a lower end, the upper end defining an upper opening to the interior leg space, the upper end being configured for extending around a calf of the user and a shin of the user when the sock device is worn; a foot tube being constructed of the flexible material, the foot tube having a perimeter wall defining an interior foot space, the foot tube being coupled to the lower end of the leg tube, the foot tube extending at an angle downwardly from the leg tube, the interior foot space being in communication with the interior leg space, the foot tube having a distal end relative to the leg tube, the distal end defining a front opening to the interior foot space, the distal end being configured for extending around an arch and a bridge of the foot of the user when the sock device is worn, a heel opening being defined at a juncture of the foot tube and the leg tube, the foot tube and the leg tube being configured such that a heel and an ankle of the user are exposed through the heel opening when the sock device is worn; an upper band being attached to the upper end of the leg tube and being constructed of a resiliently stretchable material; a front rim being attached to and being coextensive with the distal end of the foot tube, the front rim having a thickness being greater than a thickness of the perimeter wall of the foot tube, the front rim being configured to reinforce the distal end of the foot tube; and a back rim being attached to and being coextensive with an edge defined by the heel opening, the back rim having a thickness being greater than the thickness of the perimeter wall of the foot tube, the back rim being configured to reinforce the edge.Cited by (0)
