Modular preparation system and method thereof

Abstract

A modular preparation station system and method are provided. The modular preparation station system includes a base element with a perimeter track and a plurality of modular sidewall units which are engageable with the perimetral track to create an interior cavity with a variety of compartments such as to be adaptable to a wide range of commercial kitchen environments. The tracking is configured in a way to enable quick and accurate assembly of the modular preparation station internal cavity as well as to provide sufficient rigidity support and insulation to meet the needs of the commercial application. The preparation station system further includes a top element or working surface element with an adjustable cooling compartment. The top element secures to the interior cavity by way of one or more track allowing for efficient assembly and modification of the modular preparations station system.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A modular preparation table comprising:
 a base element;   at least one sidewall element selectively connected to said base element;   at least one end cap selectively connected to said base element;   a rear wall;   a top element; and   a plurality of front elements,   wherein said base element, said top element, said rear element, said front element, a first sidewall element, and a first end cap form a first internal cavity when said sidewall element is in a connected configuration.   
     
     
         2 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , wherein a second sidewall element forms a second internal cavity in association with said first sidewall element, said base element, said top element, said rear element, and said front element, when said second sidewall element is in connected configuration. 
     
     
         3 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , further including a cooling system. 
     
     
         4 . The modular preparation table of  claim 3 , wherein said cooling system further includes a ducting, said ducting configured selectively direct airflow into said first internal cavities. 
     
     
         5 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , wherein said base element further includes a hardware platform. 
     
     
         6 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , further including a spanner. 
     
     
         7 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , wherein said top element further includes a working surface. 
     
     
         8 . The modular preparation table of  claim 7 , wherein said top element further includes a cooling compartment. 
     
     
         9 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , wherein said sidewalls and end caps further include a shelf bracket. 
     
     
         10 . The modular preparation table of  claim 1 , wherein said sidewall elements and said end caps are selectively connected to said base with tracks. 
     
     
         11 . A modular preparation table comprising:
 a rectangular base element including at least one perimeter track and at least one end cap track;   at least one sidewall element including a sidewall track, the sidewall track being configured to selectively slide into said perimeter tracks thereby connecting said sidewall to said base;   at least one end cap including a bottom surface associated with a bottom surface track, the bottom surface track being configured to selectively slide into said end cap tracks thereby connecting said end cap to said base;   a rear wall;   a top element; and   a plurality of front elements,   wherein said base element, said top element, said rear element, said front element, a first sidewall element, and a first end cap form a first internal cavity when said sidewall element is in a connected configuration.

The modular preparation table of  claim 11 , wherein a second sidewall element forms a second internal cavity in association with said first sidewall element, said base element, said top element, said rear element, and said front element, when said second sidewall element is in connected configuration. 
     
     
         13 . The modular preparation table of  claim 11 , further including a cooling system. 
     
     
         14 . The modular preparation table of  claim 13 , wherein said cooling system further includes a ducting, said ducting configured selectively direct airflow into said first internal cavities. 
     
     
         15 . The modular preparation table of  claim 14 , wherein said base element further includes a hardware platform. 
     
     
         16 . The modular preparation table of  claim 11 , further including a spanner. 
     
     
         17 . The modular preparation table of  claim 11 , wherein said top element further includes a working surface. 
     
     
         18 . The modular preparation table of  claim 17 , wherein said top element further includes a cooling compartment. 
     
     
         19 . The modular preparation table of  claim 11 , wherein said sidewalls and end caps further include a shelf bracket. 
     
     
         20 . The modular preparation table of  claim 11 , wherein said perimeter track is in a T track configuration.
