Abstract

Disclosed herein is an end trim that is connectible to a panel. The trim comprises a trim-defined recess. While the connected trim and panel is secured to a mounting wall, insertion of a first connector of a mounting assembly into a panel-defined recess is with effect that a retained configuration is established, wherein the mounting assembly is vertically supported by the panel, and displacement of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed. The trim-defined recess is configured for co-operation with the mounting assembly such that, while the retained configuration is established, insertion of the second connector of the mounting assembly into the trim-defined recess is with effect that a rotation-resistant configuration is established, wherein rotation of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed.

         55 . An end trim that is connectible to a panel, the panel comprising a panel-defined recess, the end trim comprising:
 a trim-defined recess; and   wherein the end trim is configured for co-operation with the panel such that:
 the end trim is connectible to the panel, such that a connected trim and panel is established; 
 while the connected trim and panel is established:
 the panel-defined recess is disposed for connection to a first connector of a mounting assembly; and 
 the trim-defined recess is disposed for connection to a second connector of the mounting assembly; 
 
 while the connected trim and panel is secured to a mounting wall:
 insertion of the first connector into the panel-defined recess is with effect that a retained configuration is established, wherein, in the retained configuration:
 the mounting assembly is vertically supported by the panel, and displacement of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed; 
 
 the trim-defined recess is configured for co-operation with the mounting assembly such that, while the retained configuration is established, insertion of the second connector into the trim-defined recess is with effect that a rotation-resistant configuration is established, wherein, in the rotation-resistant configuration:
 rotation of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed. 
 
 
   
     
     
         56 . The end trim of  claim 55 , further comprising:
 a trim-defined retaining surface;   wherein:
 in the rotation-resistant configuration, the rotation of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed by the trim-defined retaining surface. 
   
     
     
         57 . The end trim of  claim 56 , wherein:
 the end trim further comprises a retaining surface-defining configuration, defining the trim-defined retaining surface; and   the second connector of the mounting assembly defines a recess,   wherein:
 while the rotation-resistant configuration is established, the retaining surface-defining configuration is disposed within the recess of the second connector of the mounting assembly. 
   
     
     
         58 . The end trim of  claim 57 , wherein:
 the panel further comprises a panel-defined connection system counterpart; and   the end trim further comprise a trim-defined connection system counterpart;   wherein:
 the connection of the end trim and panel is effected by snap-fit engagement between the panel-defined connection system counterpart and the trim-defined connection system counterpart; and 
 while the rotation-resistant configuration is established, the panel-defined connection system counterpart is disposed within the recess of the second connector of the mounting assembly. 
   
     
     
         59 . The end trim of  claim 55 , further comprising:
 a front facing surface, defining a fastener-receiving portion which is co-operable with a fastener for effectuating connection of the end trim to the mounting wall;   a base, defining a rear-facing surface, wherein the base is disposed, relative to the front facing surface, on an opposite side of the end trim;   wherein:
 the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to a retaining force that is applied to a front facing surface portion, disposed downwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of rotation of the trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall. 
 
   
     
     
         60 . The end trim of  claim 59 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed downwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of a moment arm defined between the retaining force and the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         61 . The end trim of  claim 59 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed downwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of generation of a moment of rotation about the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         62 . The end trim of  claim 55 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to a retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed upwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of rotation of the trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         63 . The end trim of  claim 62 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed upwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of a moment arm defined between the retaining force and the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         64 . The end trim of  claim 62 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed upwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of generation of a moment of rotation about the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         65 . The end trim of  claim 59 , wherein the absence of the rotation of the trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall, is such that there is an absence of defeating of the abutting engagement of the rear facing surface with the mounting wall. 
     
     
         66 . The end trim of  claim 59 , wherein at least a portion of the base is disposed rearwardly of the trim-defined retaining surface. 
     
     
         67 . The end trim of  claim 55 , wherein the end trim is a bottom end trim, such that, while the connected trim and panel is secured to the mounting wall, the bottom end trim is disposed at a bottom end of the connected trim and panel. 
     
     
         68 . A kit for a wall panel assembly, comprising:
 a panel, comprising:
 a panel-defined recess; and 
   an end trim, comprising:
 a trim-defined recess; 
   wherein the end trim is configured for co-operation with the panel such that:
 the end trim is connectible to the panel, such that a connected trim and panel is established; 
 while the connected trim and panel is established:
 the panel-defined recess is disposed for connection to a first connector of a mounting assembly; and 
 the trim-defined recess is disposed for connection to a second connector of the mounting assembly; 
 
 while the connected trim and panel is secured to a mounting wall:
 insertion of the first connector into the panel-defined recess is with effect that a retained configuration is established, wherein, in the retained configuration:
 the mounting assembly is vertically supported by the panel, and displacement of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed; 
 
 the trim-defined recess is configured for co-operation with the mounting assembly such that, while the retained configuration is established, insertion of the second connector into the trim-defined recess is with effect that a rotation-resistant configuration is established, wherein, in the rotation-resistant configuration:
 rotation of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed. 
 
 
   
     
     
         69 . The kit of  claim 68 , wherein:
 the end trim further comprises a trim-defined retaining surface;   wherein:
 in the rotation-resistant configuration, the rotation of the mounting assembly, relative to the connected trim and panel, in a direction away from the mounting wall, is opposed by the trim-defined retaining surface. 
   
     
     
         70 . The kit of  claim 69 , wherein:
 the end trim further comprises a retaining surface-defining configuration, defining the trim-defined retaining surface; and   the second connector of the mounting assembly defines a recess;   wherein:
 while the rotation-resistant configuration is established, the retaining surface-defining configuration is disposed within the recess of the second connector of the mounting assembly. 
   
     
     
         71 . The kit of  claim 70 , wherein:
 the panel further comprises a panel-defined connection system counterpart; and   the end trim further comprise a trim-defined connection system counterpart;   wherein:
 the connection of the end trim and panel is effected by snap-fit engagement between the panel-defined connection system counterpart and the trim-defined connection system counterpart; and 
 while the rotation-resistant configuration is established, the panel-defined connection system counterpart is disposed within the recess of the second connector of the mounting assembly. 
   
     
     
         72 . The kit of  claim 68 , wherein:
 the end trim further comprises:
 a front facing surface, defining a fastener-receiving portion which is co-operable with a fastener for effectuating connection of the end trim to the mounting wall; 
 a base, defining a rear-facing surface, wherein the base is disposed, relative to the front facing surface, on an opposite side of the end trim; 
   wherein:
 the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to a retaining force that is applied to a front facing surface portion, disposed downwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of rotation of the trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall. 
 
   
     
     
         73 . The kit of  claim 72 , wherein, the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed downwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of a moment arm defined between the retaining force and the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         74 . The kit of  claim 72 , wherein, the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed downwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of generation of a moment of rotation about the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         75 . The kit of  claim 68 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to a retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed upwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of rotation of the trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         76 . The kit of  claim 75 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed upwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of a moment arm defined between the retaining force and the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         77 . The kit of  claim 75 , wherein the front facing surface and the base are co-operatively configured such that, while the rear facing surface is disposed in an abutting engagement with the mounting wall:
 in response to the retaining force that is applied to the front facing surface portion, disposed upwardly, relative to the fastener receiving portion, there is an absence of generation of a moment of rotation about the base, such that there is the absence of rotation of the end trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall.   
     
     
         78 . The kit of  claim 72 , wherein the absence of the rotation of the trim, about the base, relative to the mounting wall, is such that there is an absence of defeating of the abutting engagement of the rear facing surface with the mounting wall. 
     
     
         79 . The kit of  claim 72 , wherein at least a portion of the base is disposed rearwardly of the trim-defined retaining surface. 
     
     
         80 . The kit of  claim 68 , wherein the end trim is a bottom end trim, such that, while the connected trim and panel is secured to the mounting wall, the bottom end trim is disposed at a bottom end of the connected trim and panel.
