Abstract
Systems, methods, and instructions on non-transitory computer readable media for automatically sending images to designated recipients based on context selection criteria (e.g., one or more of location, content, or quality). The system includes a camera and a user interface to trigger the camera to capture an image. The method includes identifying context selection criteria, identifying designated recipients, receiving the image captured by the camera, determining image data for the captured image, comparing the determined image data to the identified context selection criteria to identify a match, and sending the captured image to the set of designated recipients responsive to the identified match.

1 . A system comprising:
an image capture device, including:
a support structure;
a location sensor;
a camera connected to the support structure to capture images; and
a user interface connected to the camera and the support structure; and
a processor coupled to the image capture device, the processor configured to:
monitor location of the image capture device using the location sensor;
capture an image using the camera at a current location;
compare the current location to a range of past locations of the image capture device; and
send the captured image automatically when the current location is outside the range of the past locations of the image capture device.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the image capture device is an eyewear device.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the location sensor comprises:
a global positioning system (GPS) coupled to the processor, the GPS configured to generate location coordinates; wherein the processor determines the locations responsive to the location coordinates received from the GPS.
4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
determine the range of past locations responsive to the generated location coordinates; identify when the image capture device is in a new area by determining recent location coordinates are outside the determined range of the past locations; and query a user of the image capture device if they want to automatically send captured images while in the new area.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the range of past locations is all locations within a first predefined distance of one another.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processor determines that the recent location coordinates are outside the determined range of past locations when the recent location coordinates are greater than a second predefined distance from coordinates for the range of past locations.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the first and second predefined distances are different.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
determine image data for the captured image; receive remote image location information for remote images captured by other devices within a predefined range of the image capture device; group the remote image locations using to the remote image location information; identify groups associated with the remote image location information for the remote images that exceed a predefined threshold; designate areas encompassing each of the identified groups as a context selection criteria; and compare the determined image data to the context selection criteria; wherein the captured image is automatically sent when the current location is outside the range of the past locations of the image capture device and the determined image data matches the context selection criteria.
9 . A method for use with an image capture device including a camera configured to capture images, a location sensor, and a user interface configured to trigger the camera to capture the images, the method comprising the steps of:
monitoring location of the image capture device using the location sensor; capturing an image using the camera at a current location; comparing the current location to a range of past locations of the image capture device; and sending the captured image automatically when the current location is outside the range of the past locations of the image capture device.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the location sensor is a global positioning system (GPS), the monitoring comprises monitoring location coordinates received from the global positioning system (GPS), and wherein the method further comprises:
determining a range of past locations; identifying when the image capture device is in a new area by determining a recent location coordinate is outside the determined range of the past locations; and querying a user of the image capture device if they want to automatically send captured images while in the new area.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the range of past locations is all locations within a first predefined distance of one another.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the determining that the recent location coordinates are outside the determined range of past locations comprises determining when the recent location coordinates are greater than a second predefined distance from coordinates for the range of past locations.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the first and second predefined distances are different.
14 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
determining image data for the captured image; receiving remote image location information for remote images captured by other devices within a predefined range of the image capture device; grouping the remote image locations using to the remote image location information; identifying groups associated with the remote image location information for the remote images that exceed a predefined threshold; designating areas encompassing each of the identified groups as a context selection criteria; and comparing the determined image data to the context selection criteria; wherein the captured image is automatically sent when the current location is outside the range of the past locations of the image capture device and the determined image data matches the context selection criteria.
15 . A non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions for use with image capture device including a camera configured to capture images, a location sensor, and a user interface configured to trigger the camera to capture the images, the instructions, when performed by a processor, configure the image capture device to:
monitor location of the image capture device using the location sensor; capture an image using the camera at a current location; compare the current location to a range of past locations of the image capture device; and send the captured image automatically when the current location is outside the range of the past locations of the image capture device.

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the location sensor is a global positioning system (GPS), the monitoring comprises monitoring location coordinates received from the global positioning system (GPS), and wherein the instructions, when performed by the processor, further configure the image capture device to:
determine a range of past locations; identify when the image capture device is in a new area by determining a recent location coordinate is outside the determined range of the past locations; and query a user of the image capture device if they want to automatically send captured images while in the new area.
17 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the range of past locations is all locations within a first predefined distance of one another.
18 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the determining that the recent location coordinates are outside the determined range of past locations comprises the instructions, when performed by the processor, further configuring the image capture device to:
determine when the recent location coordinates are greater than a second predefined distance from coordinates for the range of past locations.
19 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the first and second predefined distances are different.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when performed by the processor, further configure the image capture device to:
