40 to 65 at. % Fe;

34 . The alloy of claim 28 comprising or consisting of:
40 to 65 at. % Fe;
15 to 45 at. % Cr;
5 to 20 at. % Mn;
5 at. % Al; and
up to 1 at. % [Ti+Nb+V+W+Zr+Hf+B+Mo].
35 . The alloy of any one of the preceding claims wherein the alloy comprises at least 15 at. % Cr.
36 . The alloy of any one of the preceding claims wherein the alloy comprises at least 40% at. % Fe.
37 . The alloy of any one of the preceding claims wherein the at. % ratio of Mn:Al is at least 1.
38 . The alloy of any one of the preceding claims wherein the at. % ratio of Fe:Cr is at least 1.
39 . The alloy of any one of the preceding claims wherein the at. % ratio of Fe:Mn is at least 2.
40 . The alloy of any one of the preceding claims wherein the alloy has an ultimate tensile strength of between about 500 and 900 MPa.
