Abstract

An aerosol provision system is provided, the aerosol provision system including a chamber for receiving at least part of a consumable through an aperture of the chamber. A visual indicator for providing user feedback is arranged around the aperture.

1 . An aerosol provision system comprising:
 a chamber for receiving at least part of a consumable through an aperture of the chamber,   wherein the aerosol provision system is configured to generate an aerosol from a consumable received in the chamber, and wherein the aerosol provision system further comprises a visual indicator for providing user feedback arranged around the aperture.   
     
     
         2 . The aerosol provision system of  claim 1 , wherein the visual indicator provides a display that extends partially about the aperture. 
     
     
         3 . The aerosol provision system of  claim 1 , wherein the visual indicator provides a display that extends continuously about the aperture. 
     
     
         4 . The aerosol provision system of  claim 1 , wherein the visual indicator provides a display arranged around a perimeter of the aperture.

The aerosol provision system of  claim 1 , wherein the aperture comprises a receiving recess for the consumable, the receiving recess having a central axis, and wherein a planar display region of the visual indicator is oriented substantially perpendicular to the central axis of the receiving recess. 
     
     
         6 . The aerosol provision system of  claim 1 , wherein a display region of the visual indicator is disposed on a mouthpiece end surface of the aerosol provision system. 
     
     
         7 . The aerosol provision system of  claim 1 , wherein the visual indicator provides a display comprising a plurality of display regions arranged on a path around the aperture.

         20 . A consumable configured for insertion into an aperture of an aerosol provision system, wherein an outer portion of the consumable is configured to modify an appearance of visual feedback provided by a visual indicator arranged around the aperture. 
     
     
         21 . The consumable of  claim 20 , wherein the outer portion of the consumable configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback comprises a reflective coating arranged on an outer surface of the consumable. 
     
     
         22 . The consumable of  claim 20 , wherein the outer portion of the consumable configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback comprises a hologram arranged on an outer surface of the consumable. 
     
     
         23 . The consumable of  claim 20 , wherein the outer portion of the consumable configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback comprises a light guiding structure configured to receive light emitted by a visual indicator arranged around the aperture of the aerosol provision system, and guide the light to a display region disposed on an outer portion of the consumable. 
     
     
         24 . The consumable of  claim 20 , wherein the outer portion of the consumable configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback is configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback in a manner selected based on a characteristic of the consumable.

The consumable of  claim 24 , wherein the outer portion of the consumable configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback is configured to modify the appearance of visual feedback in a manner selected in dependence on a type of aerosol generating material comprised in the consumable.

         30 . A method of providing a visual indicator for an aerosol provision system, the method comprising:
 providing an aerosol provision system with a chamber for receiving at least part of a consumable through an aperture of the chamber, wherein the aerosol provision system is configured to generate an aerosol from the consumable received in the chamber; and   providing a visual indicator for providing user feedback, wherein the visual indicator is arranged around the aperture.
