System and method for storage and delivery of an item simultaneously with a beverage

Abstract

A system and method of delivery an item with a beverage is provided. The system includes a container which has a false bottom that is capable of storing an item, such as a breath freshener. The false bottom is removable from the container at a user's desire. The system also considers a thermal sleeve with a pouch for storing an item. The pouch is moveable between open and closed configurations and is openable at a user's desire. Further, a method of constructing such a false bottom and a thermal sleeve are considered along with a method of use.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A container system, the container system comprising:
 an upper component configured to receive a beverage;   an intermediary member connected to at least a portion of said upper component; and   a bottom component, said bottom component selectively received by one of the upper component or the intermediary member,   wherein the bottom component forms part of a cavity suitable for storage of an item.   
     
     
         2 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the upper component is formed into a conical section defining an interior compartment, wherein an upper surface of said intermediary member further defines at least a portion of said interior compartment. 
     
     
         3 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, further comprising a perimetral lip connected to a perimeter of said intermediary member and extending outwards from a lower surface of said intermediary member. 
     
     
         4 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, wherein said bottom component interfaces with at least a portion of said perimetral lip, and wherein said perimetral lip forms at least part of said cavity. 
     
     
         5 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, wherein said perimetral lip is sufficiently long such that the cavity dimensions enable storage of an item. 
     
     
         6 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, further comprising an item affixed to the intermediary member and held within the cavity. 
     
     
         7 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, further comprising an item affixed to the bottom component and held within the cavity. 
     
     
         8 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, wherein the item is a breath freshener. 
     
     
         9 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, further comprising a cutout in a surface of the bottom component. 
     
     
         10 . The container system of any of the preceding claims, further comprising a tab attached to a lower surface of the bottom component. 
     
     
         11 . A sleeve, the sleeve comprising:
 an inner surface;   an outer surface; and   a pouch affixed to said outer surface.   
     
     
         12 . The sleeve of  claim 11 , wherein the pouch comprises:
 a first wall attached to and extending a distance from said outer surface;   a second wall attached to and extending a distance from said outer surface; and   a third wall opposing said second wall and attached to and extending a distance from said outer surface.   
     
     
         13 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 12 , wherein the first, second, and third walls form at least part of a cavity for storing an item. 
     
     
         14 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 13 , further comprising a tab member hingedly coupled to at least said first wall. 
     
     
         15 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 14 , wherein the tab member comprises:
 a first panel, said first panel being hingedly coupled to at least said first wall;   a second panel, said second panel being coupled to said first panel at a first angle;   a third panel, said third panel being coupled to said second panel at a second angle.   
     
     
         16 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 15 , wherein said first angle is 90 degrees and said second angle is 90 degrees, and wherein said third panel is relatively planar to said first panel. 
     
     
         17 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 16 , further comprising a brace connected to or integrated within said outer surface, the brace configured to receive a panel of the tab member. 
     
     
         18 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 17 , wherein said pouch defines a cavity for storing an item. 
     
     
         19 . The sleeve of  claims 11 - 18 , wherein said pouch is movable between open and closed configurations, wherein said open configuration is defined by no panels of the tab member being presently received by the brace and said closed configuration is defined by at least one panel of the tab member being presently received by the brace. 
     
     
         20 . A method of forming a sleeve, the method comprising the steps:
 forming a main body of the sleeve, the main body having an inner surface and an outer surface;   forming a pouch on the outer surface of the main body; and   forming a brace on the outer surface of the main body.
