Pocket assembly integrated in garment

Abstract

Embodiments are disclosed for device-garment integration. In some embodiments, a garment assembly comprises: a garment having a front side and a back side; an aperture in the garment extending from the front side to the back side; a garment subassembly including: a first reinforcement layer disposed on the front side of the garment providing a cosmetic aperture border and finishing a raw cut garment edge; a second reinforcement layer providing garment edge finishing, minimizing friction between a device and the garment and allowing capacitive touch functionality; a pocket subassembly adhered to the garment subassembly, the pocket subassembly including: adhesive for securing the pocket subassembly to the garment subassembly; an elastic pocket attached to the adhesive; and a third reinforcement layer adhered to the elastic pocket to provide stiffness to the assembly.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An assembly comprising:
 a garment having a front side and a back side;   an aperture in the garment extending from the front side to the back side;   a garment subassembly including:
 a first reinforcement layer disposed on the front side of the garment providing a cosmetic aperture border and finishing a raw cut garment edge; 
 a second reinforcement layer providing garment edge finishing, minimizing friction between a device and the garment and allowing capacitive touch functionality; 
   a pocket subassembly adhered to the garment subassembly, the pocket subassembly including:
 adhesive for securing the pocket subassembly to the garment subassembly; 
 an elastic pocket attached to the adhesive; and 
 a third reinforcement layer adhered to the elastic pocket to provide stiffness to the assembly. 
   
     
     
         2 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a garment patch material disposed on the back side of the garment for matching material inside the garment.   
     
     
         3 . The assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the third reinforcement layer is a polyurethane film.
