Haircut Cape Device

Abstract

The present invention relates to a haircut cape device. The device preferably resembles the upper body and cape of a superhero and has a curved lip that encircles the body such that any hair cut from the user during a haircut is collected within the lip. The lip preferably ends above the lower arm of the user such that their hands are free to move during the haircut.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A haircut cape device comprising:
 a body having an opening;   a lip;   a cape; and   an indicia.   
     
     
         2 . The haircut cape device of  claim 1 , wherein the indicia is comprised of a superhero logo. 
     
     
         3 . The haircut cape device of  claim 1 , wherein the body is comprised of a flexible material. 
     
     
         4 . The haircut cape device of  claim 1 , wherein the lip is comprised of a curved lip. 
     
     
         5 . The haircut cape device of  claim 1 , wherein the lip encircles 360 degrees around the body. 
     
     
         6 . The haircut cape device of  claim 1 , wherein the body is comprised of a molded body. 
     
     
         7 . A haircut cape device comprising:
 a body having an opening;   a lip;   an indicia;   a cape; and   a neck cover.   
     
     
         8 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the body is comprised of a first half and a second half. 
     
     
         9 . The haircut cape device of  claim 8 , wherein the first half is connected to the second half by a flexible connector. 
     
     
         10 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the neck cover is comprised of a flexible material. 
     
     
         11 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the neck cover is comprised of a fastener. 
     
     
         12 . The haircut cape device of  claim 11 , wherein the fastener is comprised of an adhesive fastener. 
     
     
         13 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the body is comprised of a molded plastic material. 
     
     
         14 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the cape is molded onto the body. 
     
     
         15 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7  further comprised of a padding. 
     
     
         16 . The haircut cape device of  claim 15 , wherein the padding is positioned on an inside surface of the body. 
     
     
         17 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the lip is comprised of a curved lip. 
     
     
         18 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the lip encircles 360 degrees around the body. 
     
     
         19 . The haircut cape device of  claim 7 , wherein the cape has the appearance of a superhero cape. 
     
     
         20 . A method of using a haircut cape device, the method comprising the steps of:
 providing a haircut cape device, the haircut cape device comprised of a body with a lip and an opening, and a neck cover,   securing the neck cover around a neck of a user,   placing the body over a head of the user such the user's head travels through the opening and a chest area of the user, a back area of the user, and a shoulders area of the user are covered by the body;   cutting the user's hair, wherein the user's hair is collected between the body and the lip; and   removing the body from the user and discarding the user's hair from the haircut cape device.
