Formwork System and Panel Therefor

Abstract

Various implementations described herein are directed to a formwork system. In one implementation, the formwork system includes aluminum extrusions and aluminum castings. The aluminum castings and the aluminum extrusions can be assembled by being pressed and riveted together.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A formwork panel, comprising:
 a side rail; and   a removable corner fitting;   wherein the removable corner fitting is coupled to the side rail, and is configured to allow the removable corner fitting to be uncoupled from and recoupled to the side rail.   
     
     
         2 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the removable corner fitting couples the side rail to an end rail. 
     
     
         3 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 2 , wherein the removable corner fitting couples the side rail to the end rail at a ninety degree angle. 
     
     
         4 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 2 , wherein the removable corner fitting is screwed, riveted or bolted to the side rail and/or the end rail. 
     
     
         5 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the removable corner fitting is connected to the side rail. 
     
     
         6 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 5 , wherein the removable corner fitting comprises steel. 
     
     
         7 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 5 , wherein the removable corner fitting connects the side rail to the end rail at a ninety-degree angle. 
     
     
         8 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising:
 at least one additional removable corner fitting,   wherein at least one of the removable corner fittings is a cast, a forged, a molded or a pressed fitting.   
     
     
         9 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the at least one additional removable corner fitting is connected to the side rail. 
     
     
         10 . The formwork panel as recited in  claim 9 , wherein the at least one additional removable corner fitting comprises steel. 
     
     
         11 . A formwork system comprising, comprising:
 a plurality of formwork panels, each of the plurality of formwork panels comprising:
 a side rail; and 
 a removable corner fitting; 
   wherein the removable corner fitting is coupled to the side rail, and is configured to allow the removable corner fitting to be uncoupled from and recoupled to the side rail.   
     
     
         12 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 11 , wherein the removable corner fitting couples the side rail to an end rail. 
     
     
         13 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 12 , wherein the removable corner fitting couples the side rail to the end rail at a ninety degree angle. 
     
     
         14 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 12 , wherein the removable corner fitting is screwed, riveted or bolted to the side rail and/or the end rail. 
     
     
         15 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 11 , wherein the removable corner fitting is connected to the side rail. 
     
     
         16 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 15 , wherein the removable corner fitting comprises steel. 
     
     
         17 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 15 , wherein the removable corner fitting connects the side rail to the end rail at a ninety-degree angle. 
     
     
         18 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 11 , further comprising:
 at least one additional removable corner fitting,   wherein at least one of the removable corner fittings is a cast, a forged, a molded or a pressed fitting.   
     
     
         19 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 18 , wherein the at least one additional removable corner fitting is connected to the side rail. 
     
     
         20 . The formwork system as recited in  claim 19 , wherein the at least one additional removable corner fitting comprises steel.
