Balloon weight and ribbon assembly with adhesive film peel-assist feature

Abstract

A balloon weight assembly includes a body portion including a depression, the body portion adapted to carry a ribbon, where the ribbon has a first end and a second end, where the first end of the ribbon is attached to the body portion; and an adhesive member attached to the second end of the ribbon, where the adhesive member is removably adhered to the body portion such that an edge of the adhesive member partially overhangs the depression, such that the depression provides finger access to the edge of the adhesive member overhanging the depression.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A balloon weight assembly for providing a balloon weight for attachment to a balloon, the assembly comprising:
 a body portion including a depression and adapted to carry a ribbon, where the ribbon has a first end and a second end, where the first end of the ribbon is attached to the body portion; and   an adhesive member attached to the ribbon, where the adhesive member is removably adhered to the body portion such that an edge of the adhesive member partially overhangs the depression, such that the depression provides finger access to the edge of the adhesive member overhanging the depression.   
     
     
         2 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the adhesive member is attached to the second end of the ribbon. 
     
     
         3 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the body portion further comprises a cavity, where said cavity includes a cavity surface, where said cavity surface includes the depression. 
     
     
         4 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the body portion provides raised surfaces and voids, the adhesive member being removable adhered to the raised surfaces and also extending over the voids so that portions of the adhesive member are not in contact with any surface. 
     
     
         5 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the adhesive member is removably adhered to the cavity surface. 
     
     
         6 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the cavity surface provides raised surfaces and voids, the adhesive member being removable adhered to the raised surfaces and also extending over the voids so that portions of the adhesive member are not in contact with any surface. 
     
     
         7 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the second end of the ribbon is attached to the adhesive member via an adhesive of the adhesive member. 
     
     
         8 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the body portion comprises a cylinder having a disk on one end thereof and a ring on an opposite end thereof. 
     
     
         9 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 8 , wherein the ribbon is wrapped around the cylinder. 
     
     
         10 . The balloon weight assembly of  claim 8 , wherein the first end of the ribbon is attached to the body portion via a slot in the cylinder for receiving the first end of the ribbon. 
     
     
         11 . A balloon display comprising the balloon weight assembly of  claim 1 , where the adhesive member is attached to a balloon.
