Abstract
A volatile material dispenser includes a base, a stand assembly coupled with the base, a shroud, and a refill. The base houses a printed circuit board. The base defines a sidewall, and the base includes at least one button that projects from the sidewall of the base and a low voltage port. The shroud has a sidewall that has a lower edge that extends from an upper edge of the base. The shroud defines a chimney. The refill comprises a wick. The refill is removably coupled with the stand assembly. The at least one button is disposed about 180 degrees offset from the low voltage port.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A volatile material dispenser, comprising:
a base that houses a printed circuit board, the base defining a sidewall, and including at least one button that projects from the sidewall of the base and a low voltage port; a stand assembly that is coupled with the base; a shroud having a sidewall that has a lower edge that extends from an upper edge of the base, the shroud defining a chimney; and a refill comprising a wick, the refill being removably coupled with the stand assembly, wherein the at least one button is disposed about 180 degrees offset from the low voltage port.
2 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 1 further including a spring within a manifold of the stand assembly,
wherein the manifold houses a piezoelectric assembly that includes a piezoelectric element,
wherein the spring is operable to engage with the piezoelectric element to maintain continuous contact between the wick and the piezoelectric element, and
wherein the spring has a spring wire with a diameter of between about 0.50 mm and about 0.60 mm.
3 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 1 , wherein the stand assembly houses a piezoelectric assembly that defines an array of apertures,
wherein outermost apertures of the array of apertures define an array diameter (DA), wherein the wick defines a wick diameter (DW), and wherein a ratio of the wick diameter and the array diameter (DA/DW) is greater than 1.0.
4 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 1 , wherein the chimney defines a diameter (D1) and a widest portion of the shroud defines a diameter (D2), and
wherein the diameter (D1) is between about 10% and about 45% of the diameter (D2).
5 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 4 , wherein the diameter (D1) is between about 15% and about 35% of the diameter (D2).
6 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of light indicators are visible through the base adjacent to the at least one button.
7 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of ridges are provided along an outer surface of the shroud.
8 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the sidewall of the shroud comprises a frustoconical shape.
9 . A volatile material dispenser, comprising:
a base that houses a printed circuit board, the base defining a sidewall, and including at least one button that projects from the sidewall and a low voltage port; a stand assembly that is coupled with the base; and a shroud having a frustoconical lower portion and a spline-shaped upper portion, the shroud defining a chimney, wherein a plurality of ridges are provided along an outer surface of the shroud, wherein the at least one button is disposed about 180 degrees offset from the low voltage port.
10 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 9 , wherein the volatile material dispenser further comprises a refill that includes a wick, the refill being removably coupled with the stand assembly.
11 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 10 , wherein, when the refill is coupled with the stand assembly, the refill is positioned entirely above the base.
12 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 9 , wherein the chimney defines a diameter (D1) and a widest portion of the shroud defines a diameter (D2), and
wherein the diameter (D1) is between about 15% and about 35% of the diameter (D2).
13 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 9 , wherein the at least one button comprises a first button, a second button, and a third button that extend outward from the base.
14 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 13 , wherein the second button is positioned between the first button and the third button, and
wherein the second button is disposed about 180 degrees offset from the low voltage port.
15 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 9 , wherein the shroud surrounds the stand assembly.
16 . A volatile material dispenser, comprising:
a base that houses a printed circuit board, the base defining a sidewall, and including at least one button that projects from the sidewall of the base and a low voltage port; a stand assembly that is coupled with the base; and a shroud having a sidewall and defining a chimney, wherein the shroud surrounds the stand assembly, wherein the shroud comprises a lip and a flange that extends downward from the lip and into the chimney, and wherein a portion of the stand assembly is positioned at the same height as a portion of the flange.
17 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 16 , wherein the volatile material dispenser further comprises a refill that includes a wick, the refill being removably coupled with the stand assembly.
18 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 16 , wherein the at least one button is disposed about 180 degrees offset from the low voltage port.
19 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 16 , wherein the chimney defines a diameter (D1) and a widest portion of the shroud defines a diameter (D2), and
wherein the diameter (D1) is between about 15% and about 35% of the diameter (D2).
20 . The volatile material dispenser of claim 16 , wherein the sidewall of the shroud defines a frustoconical lower portion and a spline-shaped upper portionJoin the waitlist — get patent alerts
