End caps for stormwater chambers and methods of making same
Abstract
A disclosed corrugated end cap includes a corrugated frame having one or more corrugations defined by one or more sets of alternating peaks and valleys. The end cap also includes one or more ribs disposed in one or more of the valleys and one or more valley reinforcements disposed in the valleys and running over a top surface of the corrugated frame. For example, the one or more ribs may be configured to increase a resistance of the frame to bending. Additionally or alternatively, the top surface, a front surface, and a rear of the corrugated frame surround a recess configured to receive latch ridges from a stormwater chamber.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A stormwater system, comprising:
an end cap configured to attach to an end of a chamber body to form a lateral wall of a stormwater chamber configured to contain stormwater and defined by the chamber body and the end cap, the end cap comprising:
a base;
a frame;
one or more corrugations defined by one or more sets of alternating peaks and valleys emanating from the base and up to a lateral surface of the frame; and
one or more markings on an outer surface of the end cap configured to guide a cutout location.
22 . The stormwater system of claim 21 , wherein the one or more markings comprise a raised surface.
23 . The stormwater system of claim 21 , wherein the one or more markings comprise an indented surface.
24 . The stormwater system of claim 21 , wherein the one or more markings comprise a surface marking applied to the outer surface of the end cap.
25 . The stormwater system of claim 21 , wherein the one or more markings comprise a substantially circular shape.
26 . The stormwater system of claim 25 , wherein the one or more markings follow a curvature of the one or more corrugations.
27 . The stormwater system of claim 21 , further comprising one or more labels proximate to the one or more markings.
28 . The stormwater system of claim 27 , wherein the one or more labels indicate a pipe size or a pipe type associated with the one or more markings.
29 . The stormwater system of claim 27 , wherein the one or more labels comprise at least one of a numerical indication, an alphanumerical indication, a surface marking, an indentation, or a raised surface.
30 . The stormwater chamber of claim 21 , wherein the end cap further comprises one or more ribs disposed in one or more of the valleys and configured to increase a resistance of the frame to bending.
31 . The stormwater chamber of claim 30 , wherein the one or more markings are disposed at a distance from the one or more ribs.
32 . The stormwater chamber of claim 30 , wherein the one or more markings are disposed adjacent to the one or more ribs.
33 . The stormwater chamber of claim 30 , wherein the one or more ribs are disposed on an exterior of the end cap.
34 . The stormwater chamber of claim 30 , wherein the one or more ribs are disposed on an interior of the end cap.
35 . The stormwater chamber of claim 21 , wherein the peaks and valleys have a curvature configured to form a contoured outer surface of the end cap.
36 . The stormwater chamber of claim 21 , wherein the end cap further comprises one or more valley reinforcements.
37 . The stormwater chamber of claim 36 , wherein the one or more valley reinforcements taper along a width of the end cap.
38 . The stormwater chamber of claim 36 , wherein the one or more valley reinforcements taper along a height of the end cap.
39 . The stormwater chamber of claim 36 , wherein the one or more valley reinforcements extend over a top surface of the end cap.
40 . The stormwater chamber of claim 36 , wherein the one or more valley reinforcements extend over a rear surface of the end cap.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
